2.0

February 18, 2026

New Features Here of victory. Landing a strong poker hand (full house or better) pulses the camera zoom (1.04x) with heavy haptic feedback. Screen shake was already wired to 7 combat events. Narrative System Added 30+ enemy lore entries, 20 floor narratives, and 4 categories of combat quips (perfect turns, overkills, etc.). Floor titles and enemy flavor text now appear in the combat log when combat starts. Quips trigger on perfect turns and overkills at the end of combat. UX & Combat Log Clarity Combat log entries are now color-coded by category with matching icons (attack, defense, healing, status effects, etc.). Added clear one-line descriptions for all 18 status effects so you always know what's affecting you. Tutorial text rewritten to be shorter, action-oriented, and easier to follow. Reward Generation Refactor Relic rewards now use floor-based rarity weighting instead of pulling randomly from the full pool. Higher floors offer better relics. All 5 rarity tiers (common through legendary) are now in the reward weights. Floor 4 guarantees a relic drop for an early power spike. Reward picker functions split into type-safe versions, resolving 12 type errors. Combat Screen Overhaul - the drag-and-drop system, sprite layout, responsive rails, zIndex tiers Wild Allowance Relic - the new brute-force wildcard hand evaluation Cracked Status Fix - effective value computation without mutating base dice Damage Calculation Fix - strike/special using effective values Card Component Refactor - flex layouts replacing absolute positioning Strategic Gameplay Systems - enemy abilities, boss phases, synergies, scoring, momentum Combat Mechanics - commitment, reroll drain, dice manipulation, reset fixes Map & Progression - branching map, path choices UI/UX Polish - animations, audio, scrollable modals, landscape optimization Boss Mechanics & Enemy Abilities — Added new boss phase shifts and 10 enemy ability types (shield bash, life drain, enrage, counter-attack, dodge, curse dice, steal focus, fortify, regenerate, summon) for more challenging combat encounters.
