Stupendous ! (except for one thing..)
The app is both intuitive and informative, and works seamlessly with iPad-- though it's unfortunate that every paid upgrade is (POOF!) missing, the 'restore purchases' option is ineffectual, and repurchasing said upgrades is seemingly impossible (which I would do). Hopefully the issue of lost upgrades will be rectified soon! Having said that, I still enjoy it -Thanks!

I’ve been RIPPED OFF
I have purchased every upgrade to this app since 2010. I have everything. I purchased a new iPad. I got everything on here and none of my upgrades are available not a single one and I’ve paid for them premium so dictionary.com. You’ve ripped me off and I demand either a refund or restoral of everyupgrade that is available. It even shows when I go to list upgrades that I have purchased everything but then it says when I say restore that none of them exist.

Disappointing
The Dictionary app continues to freeze on my iPad and is now unusable. It’s also difficult to contact someone to report this problem.

Dictionary still works, but it used to work better. As of Sept. 2024 it now contains some broken features.

Dictionary now works in landscape mode. The Thesaurus is limited and just okay.

Some definitions have been altered and are now inaccurate. The Rhyming Dictionary no longer works.
The developer appear to be asleep at the wheel. I can’t remember the last time this app was even updated. Fix the Rhyming Dictionary and I’ll add a star. Update the dictionary for accuracy and I’ll add another.

Upgrades Paid for not loaded
Upgrades that I have paid for do not show up. Feeling ripped off! Do yourselves a favor and do not fall into the trap of paying something you will not get. Your money is taken right away but you will not see what you paid for! Very disappointing!
Best Thesaurus!
I am a professional writer, been using this app for many years. I really like it. However, it used to have a feature which would help me find a word, even if I couldn’t spell it properly. I’d type in the closest spelling of the word that I could come up with, and a list of suggested words would be offered. I REALLY miss that, it was very helpful. Why would you take that away?

I want my money back.
I just paid $3.99 for the Example Sentences upgrade……so far I have put in 10 different words and I recieved NO example sentences for 7 of them and the other 3 tries caused the app to crash!
Spelling
It used to show the correct spelling if I came close, but now it is not useful in helping one find the correct spelling.
Broken App
Been using this app for years and used to be great. After updating to latest ios 17.7, it has completely broken the app and none of the upgrades i paid for, no longer work. As this app hasn't been updated for 4 years, i can't see the issue being fixed either.
Practically Useless
Now I need to know EXACTLY how to spell a word to get any info. This app has now become practically useless since it no longer provides suggestions or alternatives to misspelled words! I used to love this app and had even paid to remove ads.
Was good , rubbish now
I used this app on my iPad , was very pleased for a few years, suddenly this July 2024 it changed, my purchased upgrades ceased to work, Ive deleted the app and re-downloaded, didn’t work, I’ve contacted the help centre 5 times and had no reply nor acknowledgment, so that doesn’t exist either. Very very fed up.

Bring back suggestions
Prior to latest update I could start typing a word and then given next closest words following. I liked that feature which is helpful when playing word games I.e. scrabble etc.
App now nearly useless
This app used to provide possible words as soon as you typed three letters. Now it doesn’t. You would need to know exactly how to spell your word for this app to be useful now.

MISSING WORDS
I tried to look up the word ouroboros to check the spelling and the word isn’t even in there at all. I don’t know if it’s behind a paywall and kept hidden, but the developers should be ashamed if this is the kind of cashgrab scam they’ve got going on.
Unable to access purchased upgrades
I purchased all the upgrades some time ago and now I cannot access them. Disappointed!

This app used to be good, used to have all the upgrades separated so you could use them independently of each other depending on what you needed.
Then they redesigned the app and made it extremely unpleasant to use. Not user friendly at all.
They then come up with a second app that does the exact same thing with all the functionality this one had originally before they destroyed it and want to ream you by making you pay for the upgrades you already purchased on the app they ruined. Do not buy from this developer, choose another to give your money to.
