It is well worth it to purchase the full version of this app! I used this in combination with Inman and passed on the first time! Having the question explanations helped me actually learn the concept rather than just the answer to the question. I also liked how it gave you a score on the domains to help you identify where you need to study more. The quick 10 minute quizzes were awesome! So user friendly, I couldn’t recommend this app more!

A good time filler and decent questions
Most of These questions are not as hard as the harder questions in visual veggies but definitely as hard as the easier ones. But it is all very good information and definitely possible questions I think I might see on the RD exam. There is a good variety of information and I’m beginning to lean some of the managerial concepts like Maslows Hierarchy and similar theories. I love that it includes the explanation for why a question is right or wrong. This is a great study feature and helps cement the information. I read them every time even if I knew the answer because it explains the incorrect answers as well. I’ve also started memorizing some of the harder managerial food service questions like BEP, break even point. I wish there were more questions on things like what different labs indicate and more on medications. Also so far I’ve only gotten one question on mEq conversions for calcium. I’ve actually learned this one. If the others were included I’d be able to learn those as well. But I’d say it’s worth the $24. I also like that questions repeat. This is good for review and for learning ones I missed.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐️
I loved this app and truly felt like it was a game changer for passing my exam! I used the Inman Review to study, but the practice questions didn’t have explanations for the answers. Pocket Prep explains why your answer was correct/wrong and goes through each answer possibility. I liked how it asked the questions, too - highly recommend using in addition to other practice questions, too!

Great app that helped me to pass my exam!

Crashes
I love the convenience of this ap but I have a major complaint. Every time I open my calculator on my iPhone, pocket dietitian crashes! It’s frustrating especially in the middle of a quiz. There’s also one question that asks about a food label but when you click on “see food label” it’s just a blank screen.

Helpful questions but...
The app keeps freezing, shutting down randomly, or just loads really slow and it makes studying frustrating. Hopefully they can figure out a way to improve that

It takes a long time to download the question of the day or a quiz. Also, some times changes it.
I wish it worked
This app never works!! The study questions and overall design of the app is great, which is what makes it more frustrating that it never works. Its always freezing and says its loading, but never actually finishes loading. Its been a month since ive been able to access it. It has great questions and the explanations are very helpful. I would give it 5 stars if it worked. I wish i could use it! ❤️

Almost perfect
This app is great and is worth every penny to upgrade and get access to more questions. It was so nice to be able to tailor my practice exams to the amount of time I had or the domain I was struggling in most. I especially appreciated the thorough explanations of not only the correct answers, but why the other choices don’t fit. The only thing that was frustrating was that it said it had 650 practice questions in the databank but every test I took I would get at least 25% repeat questions— as in identical, the answers weren’t even scrambled; So I found the performance metrics to be skewed since I was able to memorize answers without any higher thinking/conceptualization. All in all, I definitely recommend this and I passed my exam the first time!

Just Okay
The pool of questions is too small. I’ve gotten the same exact questions for the last several practice tests I’ve taken. It’s no longer helpful once you’ve memorized all the questions.

Keeps crashing and signing me out
I like this app, when I’m able to use it. For the most part, it freezes on me, closes down and signs me out. After I complained of this, I was told to use the desktop version. I paid to have POCKETPREP.

Love this app, however it does not show the images for question so that I can answer them properly.
Worth it
The option to view explanations immediately after answering questions is supremely helpful. Easy/convenient. Two complaints: 1) the links in the description of answers are not functioning. You cant click on them 2) i upgraded with the promise of a refund if a fail as long as i answer all qiestions. Ive taken a TON of quizes but the questions are randomly assigned to you so its nearly impossible to get to them all without having to repeat some questions youve answered a bunch of times.
But all in all i enjoy this app and would recommend.

Good content but...
The app needs updated. Often, I take the same exam over and over. The randomization of the questions isn’t there. I find it works better on a web browser.

I passed the test, and the app helped sooooo much in addition to a review class (breeding), review materials (Inman/breeding), audio recordings (Inman), and quizlet flash cards!
Totally worth it despite the constant crashing!
I love this app so much, I am so thankful it was recommended to me by a fellow intern that passed his exam (first try) and used this app for review! You have many options for practice tests, for example: how many questions, which domain, show results during or after, timed or not. However, I want to give 5 stars so badly but this app constantly crashes and has me re-sign in almost everyday. I mean, for you future RD’s this app is completely worth it, definitely spend the money to upgrade it- but for the creators I hope you can fix the constant crashing, we are too stressed/anxious to be dealing with that !!!

Great, but..
I have the full version which is a GREAT price for everything it has, I love the material and features. I love the explanations for each answer. Although, the app crashes very often. Usually if I try to answer the question of the day or even randomly during practice questions. Also, each time it crashes I have to sign back in so make sure you know your log in info! I hate that it crashes so much but I put up with it for the quality of the questions.

Great Explanations and Questions
This app was so great! I just passed my RD exam and I highly recommend it. It is easy to use and provides immediate feedback on what you need to focus on. The only thing I suggest it that we can have a list of saved questions so we can refer back to it for reference.

I can confidently say these test questions will help you pass the exam in addition to a test outline study guide like the Inman review. These questions require a lot of critical thinking much like the actual RD exam. I recommend getting the full version!
