I love this clapper because if the style of it. But the software goes or should I say cuts off. In my opinion it needs a software fix. But that being said, I still think it's one of the best clappers at this price point.

Why all the comments about it being unusable without an email? Tap the 'skip' button and away you go. I like that I can edit a lot of the data however the 'beep' is a little quiet....

So this is really the first time I have used a clapper of any kind. However, I know what one is used for and for that, this app lacks the clap. It's got the minute tone which wasn't loud enough for my microphones to pick up on audio.
My solution for a possible fix is to add the option to change it. Either option the clap or the tone. And if you are going to use the tone, option to make it louder so you can actually use it.
Other than that, this app is pretty cool and useful for the grease board portion replacement and the time readout.

Not bad, but only good for video. Needs 24 fps option.
So, the email requirement DOES go away after a bit. Not bad little app, considering it is free. It would be nice to be able to change the frame rates so you could you it for film as well as video work.
Broken email “registration system”
This app is useless. Do Not Download it! It requires you to enter your email address to get a secret password, though it promises not to spam you. Then it never sends the secret word to activate it.
It might be the best clapper app out there, but I’ll never know because I can’t get past the stupid registration screen.
The developer cares more about signing people up for his apps than he does about writing apps that actually work.

It's exactly what you expect
So, for the record: it DOES ask for an email.
You DO NOT need it — the app allows you to bypass it after 15 or so seconds of waiting.
Considering how annoying that is, and how annoying the clap down activation is (I THINK it's double tap) I'm giving it three stars. Otherwise, it works perfectly well.

does not work
Asks for email address, so it can send a password. No password received. Useless download. Will delete.
Stupid stupid app
Stupid and useless. I typed in my info on the slate. And it scrolls to the bottom, and now I can't scroll back up. Stupid app
Works fine! I registered my email address, all good.
Clapperboard has been simple to use and I love that it can show a timer or the clock time (I use clock time).
I would love to change the field names or have it email me a list of clap times but honestly for free I have zero complaints.
While it was a bit of a surprise to be immediately prompted for my email address on first use, I checked out the developer website and saw nothing of concern.
I have only seen a few emails in the year or so I've had it, and certainly haven't been inundated with spam.
Being on the developer's email list seems to be the only cost of receiving the free app?

Das wars auch schon. Wenn die Klappe "betätigt" wird, startet die Zeit. Und endet nicht, wenn die Klappe wieder betätigt wird.

You are asked for an email address before you can use the app, then the app claims that an email was sent to the given address containing a secret code which you must enter in order to use the app... However, the email never arrived...

The sound should be louder and there is a 7 frame delay between the animation and the beep.
Email unlock doesn't work
Downloaded Jan 8th, 2015. Email unlock doesn't work. Now I'm stuck with a dud on my iPad. Can't believe I paid for this.
