This digital SteelPan App is actually the best that i’ve seen heard and also played! It’s very imperative that i thank you guys create this.
Worthy Investment
Not only does this app help beginners get to know their pan while away from the panyard but it also allows other players and arrangers to work out melodies and accompaniments on all the pans of the orchestra/band. Another lovely feature is the history of each type of pan and who invented each (tenor/cello/guitar/etc). A truly educational & revolutionary app that every dedicated pannist must own!

No Sound
I paid for this app and the first few times I opened it, there was no sound when I play the instruments. It also gets stuck on the help page if I do tap on the ? Once I get to that page the only way for me to get back to the main page is to close the app and restart it. I got sound from the instrument once and when I opened it later there was no sound. This was a waste of money.

Pretty good
Overall, it’s pretty good, but you can only rotate and move the drums. I wish you could also mirror them. Our band’s drums on the 6 bass are mirrored and so I can’t practice some songs very well.
No Sound
I want to ask for a refund. I purchase the app, but there’s no sound when playing pan. Very frustrating.

Side Bar Placement
Please MOVE the side bar of options to the TOP of the screen. My wrist, during practice, invariably touches the bottom of the screen (the 3-bar icon), which takes me out of the practice session and back to the main screen, thereby having to restart. Having to restart the session is incredibly frustrating. Please relocate.

Sometime-y
I am just learning pan and i thought this would be useful. I find myself more frustrated than educated. Unfortunately I have to close the app and open it to try and get sound to come out of the digital pan. I’m not sure if I’m missing a button or if it’s my phone or if it’s the app. I really want to love it, but there are a couple of challenges. To the developers if there is something that I’m missing, please let me know.

Does not work
The keys don’t produce any sound. Downloaded it years ago, it was mediocre at best then. Now it’s 1 star maximum

Great app
It’s helped me to learn my bass parts. I can even move the pans around to match the same arrangement as the ones in my pan yard!
Sound not working
I’ve tried this app on my iPad and my iPhone and there is no sound on either of them. Can anybody tell me how they fix this issue? For now it’s a one star review but this looks like a great app. Shame
I can practice a part anywhere!
And I can learn the entire Steelpan family of instruments!

Needs Improvement
This is close to being worth the money. I don’t have the patience. When I go to the help screen, I can’t get out. I need to rearrange the 6 bass drums to match how they are set up in our band. It took me a while to figure out how, but I managed to set them up. I thought when I clicked the lock, it would save my set up the way I liked it. No. The lock is temporary. Apparently I have to reconfigure the drums every time I use them. No, thanks.

Overall a very great app. Very handy and very much worth it. Sometimes when I open it though it doesn’t play music when I tap so I’ll have to reopen it.
