Very frustrating or my 4 year old
My child loves doing puzzles and th are where yo build the train is way too frustrating for him because the shape and puzzles they p in place won’t work. The bugs are too annoying
No sound
Tried everything but no sound on iPad. Sound works fine on all other apps, etc. I deleted and reloaded the app but nothing works. Oh well (shrug).
What works is great...
...but what doesn't is really frustrating. The train building game pieces are really glitchy, and it takes several exit & back in attempts before it will accept them, even on easy mode following the outlines. What kid has the patience for that?
Good game, but...
I love this game and I even repaired the *broken* Dinosaur Train Toy! (Sadly, I couldn’t repair the motor on the engine. But I made my own Dinosaur Train engine from scratch.) Although the game is great, my favorite game on here (Track Stars) has trouble with the last piece. Luckily, that doesn’t happen often when I’m playing Track Stars. Anyways, good job, PBS.

Not enough interaction
I hope the profits from my purchase went to PBS because this app was not worth it. I should have read the reviews first. This app can not be considered a game, There is not enough interaction taking place. You simply tap on a dinosaur and it tells you about the dinosaur, that's it.Even if involved a little bit of trivia Q&A this app would have more longevity and replay ability.

There’s a problem where the shapes can’t go in the box and it doesn’t work please fix that problem
Last shape won’t stay
I saw another review from 2 years ago that had the same problem, sadly problem still not fixed. The last shape on the tangram puzzles will not click in. It’s too bad because otherwise kids loved it and had nice educational value
Problems with Ap
The last puzzle piece never goes in and then you can't continue. This is on 2nd gen iPad
App keeps sticking
train building section is not working properly. Otherwise, my 5 year old loves this free app!

Good mini games, with some educational value, but the bugs are really frustrating for kids and parents both.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SOUND?
Kids love it, but huge
My kids love it, just like they love the show. But it's now over 1.2gb (much bigger than companion apps from the pack) and usual tricks don't fix that. Seems unreasonable.
Please fix issues
My 4 year old does a great job with the puzzle shapes, but the last piece never stays put. He's doing it correctly and this gets him so frustrated. Disappointed in this app.

Unclear Prompts + Advanced Shape Puzzle Doesn’t Always Work
My kid likes to play this because she loves Dinosaur Train, but it requires too much adult intervention.
- The game where you put dinosaurs in a designated order has particularly unclear prompts, and it frustrated her.
- In the game where you design your train, you have to complete a shape puzzle. In the “Medium” and “Hard” difficulties, not all of the shape combinations that *should* work do work. This is egregiously buggy and I had to explain to a confused child that she was doing it right and that her game was broken.
Overall, a disappointment.

Why is there no sound?
Working great and then stop
I've had this app for little over year was working wonderfully until the other day when I couldn't get the trains to work for my son. It's his favorite part of the whole app and it's the only thing that won't work.. Not happy
So many glitches!!
I think this game could be sooo cute and educational. But there are so many glitches that one of the games you can't play, another the dinosaur keeps repeating himself, it skips and the list goes on. PLEASE PBS fix it! If you are going to make people pay for your games make it worth the money I've downloaded free apps the work better. Very upsetting.

Kids enjoy the app...
Both my kids enjoy the app, but as a parent I wish they would expand a little more on the educational side, e.g. Improving the math teaching concepts in the bridge building game.
I had written a previous review complaining about audio not working only to realize I had muted my iPad with the switch.
