Had this app for a while, there used to only be a handful of options in Vancouver and I never actually booked one. Now there’s TONS more options which is great, however not a single one has any availabilities! Every time I open the app I can’t find a reservation available. I got a premium membership through Wealthsimple but if this continues I will likely give up this benefit. Unfortunate because I do really love the concept!

Useless for those outside Toronto
This app really only caters to people who live in Toronto. Don’t bother purchasing it if you live anywhere else as they don’t offer access to restaurants outside downtown Toronto other than maybe one or two restaurants elsewhere. Waste of money signing up.

What a scam!
I took the premium membership with the promotion to get the 50$ gift card. It is impossible to have access to the gift card. Eml Payments which is responsible for the gift card say they don’t know anything about this. You can be sure that I will not renew my membership
A foodie must!
This has become my go-to app for any dinner out! The restaurants are all top quality and I love getting advance access with my membership. Worth every dollar!

Use this all the time to get last minute reservations at all of my favourite places! Whenever I’m in a new city Dinr is the first app I open!
Great app but…
I downloaded this app because they partner with Air Canada for points. It’s honestly a nice app, my only issue with it is that you cannot change your location to search for a restaurant in another city. For example, my fiancé will be in Canada in a couple weeks for his birthday we’ll be staying in Montreal for 3 days, I wanted to look and see what restaurants accept the app but alas I cannot change my location. So even if I wanted to book the day we leave or even the day proper to go to Montreal for one of the days we are there, I cannot until I am there. 3 stars until it’s fixed.

Long loading times
Nice design, feels premium. Sadly, it takes a long time to load the data on the home page. I keep waiting for the loading indicator to finish each time I go on the home page. Also happens after opening another tab and coming back to the home page. It takes a good 20-30 seconds to load and the page remains frozen. It’s not my mobile connection because all the other apps and websites load just fine. Just hope this gets resolved very soon.

If only it worked
Downloading and signing up for DINR was the most frustrating user experience. Once I was able to get in, you’re not able to click on anything. Pretty useless, not sure how their rating is 4.9
Embarrassing
Insanely difficult to use. I just need to book a restaurant a week ahead of time and this app failed so badly I was compelled to write a review.
There is no search function. There is no book ahead function. This is a paid app to fill unbooked seats for restaurants for today and to market their events.
Absolutely embarrassing to charge the users to help fill empty seats of restaurants.

Must Have!
This app is the best for serious foodies. It has the best restaurants, events, and reviews on the best restaurants across Canada - and it only seems to be getting bigger and bigger! We use it all the time!!
reservation cancellation issues
I dislike that there are issues with trying to cancel a reservation and saying that the app could not cancel through the external system. The app gives good to great options of restaurants but only offers day of reservations.
Entitled & rude customer service
Requested a refund due to incorrect renewal fee and response was nothing short of formally worded petulance. Disappointing response from a disappointing platform.

App doesn’t even launch anymore. Crashes as soon as you launch the icon.

Hi there, we just noticed your comment here. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. We launched a brand new app after COVID and people with the old iOS version had to reinstall the app (not simply update it). If you run into any other issues, please email us at community@getdinr.com
App Glitches
I like the app, but it’s super disappointing that I had cancelled my reso at another restaurant bc I saw one come up on here. Fast forward and the restaurant calls me to tell me the app was incorrect and they’re not even open tonight… it’s giving unreliable 🥲

Please modernize to use AppleID and ApplePay so users don’t need to type in ID info from scratch or enter a credit card

Find last minute reservations to the best restaurants in town! So far never disappointed with the options it’s easy to book, always surprised to be able to get reservations at restaurants that usually are full for the weeks to come.

Worst app
Worst app. Too strict on the delay to cancel a reservation. I Lost 60$. They lose their name and réputation. Worst app.
