Awful update!!
What a confusing and dumb update. Nothing easy about this new update.
App Format Change
The new format sucks. I don’t know why they had to change it because the original was perfect.

I sometimes forget DISH is a satellite and not a streaming service.
Awful update-disappointed
I cannot tell which show episode is which! I want them in list view (like before) where I can see dates. Since in my DVR, I have saved shows in folders, the app does not do folders, but I could put up with it because I saw dates. I tried for five minutes on this recent app update in August 2026 to find the correct episode on the app during my workout. And I still cannot find it! Please fix for better user friendly options!

Update disappointment
I’ve been using the DVR portion of the app to watch recorded movies while I’m on the treadmill for the past 2+ years. With the recent update update to the app the DVR no longer works. I used every suggestion from dish support to resolve the problem. However, nothing worked. Finally, I did a chat with a dish representative. That was when I found out what I suspected all along. Apparently it was already a known issue and dish tech is already working on it.

Really miss previous version
The new suck version does not make it easy to isolate and find sports games, movies nor shows (like it used to) that are scheduled for future broadcast. Also missing is the remote control option. I find the new version clunky and visually uninspiring.
And the guide is SLOW TO LOAD!

Latest update
With the latest update the I am not able to watch past or present episodes of certain shows. I keep receiving a Loading issue error message. The 2 suggested things to do to resolve the issue do not work! Very frustrating!,

The new menu
I hate it. I cannot search for shows by name any more on my iPhone. It defaults to favorites that I have never watched instead of all channels.
Not fond of new update
I’m not finds of the new update. One of the main reasons is that I’m not able to see the full info about the show. Am I missing something?
Where are the channel categories?
Looks like the latest update removed the channel categories from the Guide tab like Movies, Sports, News.

New app
I hate the new app. Bring back the ability to see only sports in guide view. Offer the ability to add additional sports besides baseball, football and basketball. Bring back the old app.
Worst App Ever
It makes no sense why we can watch all our other apps on the patio, but the Dish App refuses to work. I have no idea what they did with this new update, but it SUCKS! We didn’t have the problem until the new updated app came out.
New is not better
The new “guide” is horrible. You can’t see local channels and there are no channel numbers. Please go back to the old set up.

I don’t like the new guide layout on your phone. Was so much easier finding a show in the guide when you could see the few times and when one time slot didn’t take up whole screen.
I hate it when Dish “fixes” things.
I intentionally avoid upgrading when a new version comes out. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. It looks like the latest update was forced on my iPad. Sure enough, they broke fast forward on recordings again.

Update is pathetic
The guide is 5 times larger font and area so you have to scroll endlessly. Old guide you could view 10-15 shows per page, now 3 or 4 . Guide loads painfully slowly. You scroll and nothing populates for 5 “. Old version loaded instantly. Once again programmers coming up w solutions to non-existent problems. Should work for apple, the new update is far worse than what they had.
