The "Paste from Instagram" feature is clutch.

I find all my dinner ideas on Instagram reels or TikTok, but typing out the ingredients into a list later is a pain. With DishPal, I just copy the caption, paste it in, and the AI separates the ingredients from the cooking instructions automatically. It even groups them so I’m not running back to the produce section when I’m already at the checkout. It’s weirdly satisfying to check off the boxes, too—the haptic feedback is nice. Takes the stress out of the Sunday grocery run.

I was skeptical about the 'AI' claim, but wow. I literally copied a messy text from my wife that said 'we need milk, eggs, that spicy salsa you like, and stuff for tacos' and pasted it into DishPal. It instantly created a clean list and categorized everything by aisle. It even knew 'spicy salsa' went to the dips section. It saves me at least 10 minutes of wandering around Whole Foods aimlessly. Plus, big props to the dev for keeping the API keys and data local. Finally, a smart grocery list that respects my privacy.

Saved me from my Trader Joe’s chaos

I used to stand in the grocery store aisle toggling between three different recipe screenshots and my Notes app, trying to figure out what I missed. DishPal fixed that immediately. I just pasted a recipe for a stew I wanted to make, and the AI instantly sorted the ingredients by category (Produce, Dairy, etc.). It makes the shopping trip so much faster because I'm not running back and forth across the store. I also really appreciate that it doesn't require a login or sell my data. Just a solid, helpful utility app that does exactly what it says.

Hosting a feast for 12 people is usually a nightmare, but DishPal kept me sane this year. I created a "Xmas Menu" folder with the turkey, sides, and three different pie recipes.
