Awesome land measuring tool
This is an awesome measuring tool for land owners or anywhere on the globe you want to measure distances & area! The maps in my area in NC, USA are more updated than any other aerial map apps at present. The current (Sept ‘25) imaging was obtained in March 2025 whereas other map apps are older.

Lacks a spherical projection
I wish the app offered a spherical projection, that is to say, show the Earth as a globe that one can rotate. For me this is a more natural way to look at the Earth.
Good, but could be better
I use it often to figure distances of parking lots and buildings and just other basic measurements, but it would be great if it allowed you to zoom in further. Especially so you can get more exact point locations to measure from.
Excellent app
I have a cabin lot in a low to no cell service area. Was able to pin out my cabin area. Before surveyor came down and I was right on with my measurements. Really recommend this app!!!
Mostly easy to use
This is a great app which i really do like.
Not quite as intuitive as I would like, and right now trying to use it in Mexico and cannot see how to get English, but a great product!

Restore feature
At one time I could mark a starting point and use the app to find a distance, starting at a known point and searching for a point 366’ away. Can’t get the app to do that now?
Opening
The app is a good tool if you can open it. It normally will take over a dozen attempts before it opens The measuring is accurate enough if you can into the app. The use of the stupid nickname is also a put off for this app obviously written by a fool
Current drawbacks
What happen to map view to draw around obstructions? This used to be a highly useful app for yard and field area measures

Every time I use this app, someone asks me about it
I know that Google maps has a measuring ability, but it's not dead simple like Distance measure. It's nice the author has included a manual, but I've never needed to use it. I've been able to do a lot of complex measurements, both for distance and area. I've always found it to be very accurate.
I wouldn't use it to replace surveying,But for the casual user who wants to know the distance/area of something that can't be entered by name, Address for coordinator, this is a great tool. Throw in the fact that it also measures area and you can select metric versus US makes it my go to app for Long distance measuring.
People will often ask me how did you figure it out The length of that OHV route?. I show them this app and they immediately download it. I'm sure there's probably something similar on android, but my friends that had android phones could not find it on google play so they felt left out.

Not user friendly
Very difficult to use. Not user friendly at all. Very disappointing. Actually miles would be useful in this country. Just a thought

Great for trip planning
