Nearly useless

First, I have to manually enter the data from my proplus3. Because there is no interface between my iPad and PDC. (Not necessarily diverlog problem) however, diverlog continuously changes the data! I fix the data and the log the indicates "modified pdc" as the input.

Don’t

90% of the way towards a good product is still not a good product. The developers haven’t thought out the products and workflow. It’s a confusing mess of “synchronizing” data between dive computer, mobile device, desktop and cloud. But some data does not, in fact, get synced. Although your dive data comes across, things like buddies, personal data, etc. do not.

Device setup/initialization is confusing and painful because it’s not a real sync that’s happening, but more like a confusing push between four endpoints, some of which are available, some not. Back to the drawing board on this one until it’s ready for prime time!

From tech support: “Unfortunately, your personal info, certification, and buddies won’t be synced due to the privacy policy. You need to add them separately.” Really?

I’ll be trying the other dive logs now after dropping too much on DiverLog’s app and PC desktop programs.

I like it!

I was initially reluctant to purchase based on previous reviews, but went for it anyway since the application on my Mac works so well. Syncing my dive log with DiverCloud and my Mac worked seamlessly. Having the data on my phone will be helpful.

Photos still not fixed

They claim the latest update fixed taking photos of certs, but it didn't. You can center a card perfectly but the picture crops up and left of what you actually take.

The gear bags are frustrating, because if you need to change just one little piece for a particular dive, you have to create a whole new bag/name. Otherwise it changes all your past dives. The gear bags should be a template only, then the dive itself should contain any changes you make. Those changes shouldn't change the "template" for every dive in your past.

Other than that, I've enjoyed using the app.

Shuts down

I have a major problem that is not getting resolved. The app shuts down when you try to download via bluetooth your dives. Ive try to reach out to pelagic and have just went round and round. I feel I’ve wasted $12 and more so expected what was advertised for a $1500 computer.

Very glitchy and not user friendly

Downloaded the lite version to trial. After uploading my oceanic PP3 to it, ( made sure my iMac and PP3 had the latest updates and firmware) it uploaded my sites to their system. I can't navigate the system without it auto-closing, or glitching/freezing up. Sadly, I thought this maybe a problem with the free version. I shelled out for the full version, and no luck. I will look elsewhere for a system to upload my data that's more user friendly.

Great app and worked great

Since the new update on phone and mac the phone app is immediately crashing when you click sync on wifi sync feature. The info syncs but the app crashes. Must reopen app to verify info synced.

Can't import dives

I have been unable to import my earlier dives to DiverLog. To do so, you must first upload your dives to DiveCloud, then download them to DiverLog. When I try to do so, DiveCloud changes all the file names to the same thing and the conflict results in only one dive being successfully uploaded. DiverLog and Aqua Lung ought to encourage them to fix this. I have communicated several times with DiveCloud. They are friendly, say that they are aware of the problem and working on fixing the problem This has been good night on for two months with no results. In the meantime,mI cannot use DiverLog.

Junk

Just what I said-junk. Cumbersome to use-it won't sync your personal information between my MacBook and iPhone. So you have to enter the same info manually on both. The more dives you get, the slower the download. My phone was timing out before the dives were downloaded. The MacBook app was $26, and the iPhone app was $13-ridiculous for the unease of use and slow speed. A total waste of money. Dive Log is a stellar app, very detailed and easy to use, hyper fast downloads, I've dumped diveRLog and replaced it with a MUCH better program, Dive Log.

Cagey

Bought this to sync with the Mac version. The interface was not intuitive, there is no FAQ (coming soon on website) and the email interface does not work - and no other way to contact them for support. When I got it connected it disconnected a number of times before it did a stable transfer. Repeated with my wife's and had the same experience. Once it worked, it looks great and I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. This could be a great product. Please provide some support.

Several Bugs to Cleanup

Latest update screwed up the sequencing of my dive log where the latest dive is listed as my 1st dive. As mentioned by another reviewer, they need to scrub the app as it does seem amateurish considering the price I paid for both the iOS and Mac versions.

Good, but needs cleanup

Generally a good app with good location capability, complete dive info and good integration with dive computer. But has a lot of little glitches that are annoying. Several spelling mistakes all through the program make it feel a bit amateurish, although it is a solid programming effort. The integration with the computer lasts for one transaction, then needs to be restarted. Annoying when doing a data/settings update but not a problem for downloading dives. I often find it difficult to edit a dive and get just the right spot to tap to allow data entry. The map needs a simpler "Use current location" entry but the rest of the map functionality is great. Overall the functionality is excellent, and with some serious cleanup effort this would be an outstanding program.

DiverLog

I have DiverLog on my iPhone 6+, on my Mac and DiveCloud to back up the Dives. I've had them since last year, and really liked them even with some minor issues. Well now after the recent updates I now love DiverLog on the iPhone and the Mac. All the issues mentioned on previous Reviews seem to have been resolved, and the two Apps and DiveCloud now Sync with each other very smoothly. And all the entries on the Mobile DiverLog couldn't be easier to understand or enter. The App flows smoothly with all Entries, and with a great layout. If you upload the Dives with a supported Computer, the displayed Graph of the Dive Profile is especially nice.
Pelagic has a winner with DiverLog. This is the way to securely log your Dives.

Diver Log iPhone iMac

Diver Log for both the iPhone and Mac have been recently updated, and previously small issues have all been addressed. Both Apps interact seamlessly with each other, and also with Dive Cloud, which is the Site where all Dives can be stored. The iPhone App is very smooth working and is arranged to enter all aspects of a Dive with little effort. This App allows you to enter all your Dive Gear that is used, which other Apps that I have used do not.

Doesn't work

Used to click the dive list and it just tells you dives are loading forever. Can't actually view any of them, I think the dives load before they pop up the window so it is never dismissed. Sloppy.

They fixed that, and now about half the dives will sync and the others just say error. The dives that do sync are missing half the information. What a waste.

Does Not Work

Bought the app to use my Aeris A300 CS dive computer with my iPhone. The app was promoted on the Aeris website so i thought it would be OK. App loaded OK, and I was able to connect the computer and phone via bluetooth. But that’s where it stopped. Tried to open the Dive Log window, and the program started loading dives (i’ve never made) and just got stuck in that mode. Kept saying “loading dives” and everything else froze. I couldn’t get out of that window, couldn’t stop the loading, nothing worked. Tried installing the app and reinstalling. Same thing. I sent a message to the developer but no reply yet. I would think and app that cost $11.99 and was promoted by Aeris on their website would work better. Hope this isn’t a sign of how well my new dive computer will work! How can I get my money back???

crash crash crash

I can't even put a date on the log without crashing... I want my money back.... totally worthless .

Extremely buggy and rough - unusable

This app is too buggy to purchase. It was supposedly written as a companion to Mac DiverLog, yet it doesn’t really sync anything useful. It will not transfer buddy information from iPhone contacts (for example, that someone on a boat sent you), weight information (or any gear) or anything useful to the Mac app. In fact, synching will REMOVE all buddy and gear information from BOTH the Mac app and the iOS app and will remove dive master and boat captain info from the Mac app.

It also spells “surge” as “serge” and “integrated” as “intergraded”.

This is an amateurish app that will mess up your logged dive data if you use it.
