This app is dead

The live feed is mostly spam for escorts. The mapping feature doesn’t work. There was such high hope for this app and computer combo. The community is dead.

Lacks Cris computer support

Supports very few dive computers and hadn’t been updated in forever. No support for newer systems like scuba pro HUD. Incredible cumbersome website driven manual import. Greasy that importing from subsurface is sort of an option but way to keep synced, with limited computer support it’s a mess trying to make this a primary application. Lack luster FB export (doesn’t use nice dive profile image). There’s a lot of potential here this could be an amazing application but it’s like they just abandoned it halfway through.
I can’t fathom why they just don’t implement libdivecomputer open source support so that they can have a useful level of modern dive computer import support…

Crashes right out of the gate

Bluetooth sync to my Perdix no problem. Importing crashes at 100%. No logs found. Importing crashes the app. Ohh well!

Not industrial level software

There are quite some bugs in the app. When connected to a computer, it always shows error although I can keep using it. When I modified an attribute such as dive mode (scuba/free) or entry mode (shore/boat), other attributes changed due to the front end UI misalignment. When I input the tank pressure using PSI, it automatically change to another value possibly due to conversion rounding, e.g. when I put 1500 psi, it changes to 1496. Hardware is solid but the corresponding cloud backend is like a school project.

Ads are horrendous

Haven’t used the app as intended yet, but at first glance the amount of ads I’ve gotten for pr*stitution and other s*x services is crazy. Am I trying to stay connected with fellow divers or am I supposed to “connect” with pr*stitutes? Seriously. This is bad. The app 1000% needs to have a filter on advertisements. Maybe instead of having pr*stitutes begging me to travel halfway across the world, have diver related advertisements. Dive computers, new bcd’s, regulators etc. The app is just repulsive and I wish socializing with other divers was less vulgar.

EDIT: The app is rated 4 years or older. Not a good look.
