Awful Functionality
If the app worked how it is setup to do it would be great. Unfortunately it is a never ending cycle of errors and button functionality that comes and goes with no apparent cause or reason. Terrible.
Easy and simple
Dividing bills has never been easier! The app itself is designed very simply and gets the job done well.
This has become my new go-to app to split bills w my friends!
I love how easy to use it is and that it completely eliminates the stress and time of doing the itemized calculations myself. Seamless and user friendly design!!!!!
A Bill Splitter that just WORKS
I’ve used pretty much every bill-splitting app out there—Splitwise for roommate drama, Plates by Splitwise for dinners, Tab, Splid, the random ones that promise magic and deliver headaches—and they all had something that annoyed me. Divvy is the first one that actually feels like it was built for real group meals in 2026.
Snap a photo of the receipt. The AI pulls out every item, price, tax, and even handles the tip suggestion properly. No blurry failures, no endless manual entry. Add your friends (no accounts or group setup required), tap to assign who had what, and it automatically calculates everyone’s fair share—including proportional tax and tip so the salad-eaters don’t subsidize the ribeye squad.
Compared to the others:
• Plates by Splitwise is nice with its drag-and-drop plates, but you’re still manually adding or dragging most items. Divvy’s AI does the heavy lifting.
• Tab has receipt scanning, but Divvy feels faster and cleaner with better payment link generation (Venmo, Cash App, iMessage—whatever you use).
• Splitwise itself is great for ongoing expenses and rent, but it’s overkill (and sometimes paywalled) for a single dinner bill.
This is literally the app I’ve always wanted but never knew I needed. It turns the awkward “who owes what?” moment at the end of dinner into a 30-second non-event. No more mental math, no more “just split it evenly and we’ll figure it out later” fights.
If you eat out with friends (or hate passive-aggressive Venmo requests), just download it. Simple, fast, and actually fair.
Huge props to the dev—keep shipping updates like this and it’s going to be the default for every group dinner.
