Poor UI & lacking features

1 example, I find that the tutorials are on rails and there is zero flexibility or ability to go to needed sections. There is no chapter system or index that would allow you to review any section that you want to revisit. You are better off watching a YouTube video and being able to go to and review any needed sections. Even the tutorial on how to use the tutorial doesn’t match the UI at the end of the tutorial. That is absolutely crazy to me! App has great potential and they continue to add new games but after all there years the app should be better!

Goodbye rulebooks

I swear every time I sit down and open up a rule book to learn a new game my body immediately needs to take a nap. I can have a game open and set up on the table and then I turn to the first page and it’s lights out for me. So in comes Dized. This app teaches you how to play while you’re playing the game, and without any of that pesky reading. Honestly, I’m enjoying this app so much, I’ve started to learn rules to games that have been sitting on my shelf of shame for years! At this point, I’m just learning rules to games that I don’t ever plan on playing, it’s that good! Please keep adding more games!

Fixed the crash

**Update: the app works great again since the last update. Updated my rating. Love this app honestly. Glad it’s back. —App crashes after a few slides on every single tutorial since the ios26 update. Useless until they fix it

Unusable

Idea looks good - downloaded to play tutorial for Sky Team, app crashes every few seconds, essentially unusable. Shame, idea is good and video production quality seems excellent. Maybe needs patching for latest iOS version.

Essential board game companion

This is a really great companion to both teach and assist the running of board games.

Crashing

I’ve had this app for a few years and never had an issue but now it keeps crashing after I load up a tutorial. Not even functional anymore. Please fix.

Crashes excessively

Downloaded the app and it worked for awhile but now it won’t stay on more than a minute and constantly crashes. Freaking useless!

App keeps crashing

I’ve just installed the app to try one of the board game tutorials but the app kept crashing very frequently, sometimes right after I resumed the tutorial after reopening the app again.

Unusable

App crashes after a few slides on every single tutorial since the ios26 update. Useless until they fix it

When it works, it’s great! Unfortunately it crashes in seconds.

Attempted to play Gloomhaven Buttons & Bugs with the application but the application could not run stable on an iPhone 13 Pro.
The application states it has interoperability for the device but the behavior I’m seeing doesn’t convince me.

Hoping for more titles!!

This made me bring my game to the table so much quicker than usual. It didn’t help with just gameplay but it also helps with setup and by player count!! I wish there were more titles available. Hopefully more people will become aware of what a great and simple tool this is to have. Loved this!

Great tutorials

I’m wishing for this app and company’s success, because it was super helpful. One of the hardest thing for me to find time to do is reading the manual before I play the game. So sometimes, the game does not get played for a full year. I have over a hundred board games. While I strive to play all of them, it is just difficult to get to all the new unopened ones in a timely manner. So Dized has made it a dream come-true for me. I finally got to open and play Gloomhaven: Buttons and Bugs, Cuthulhu: Death may die, AND I got to revisit and clarify some rules on spirit island. I haven’t played spirit island in a long time because I had forgotten the rules. I didn’t want to read the rule book again, so I left it unplayed for another 2 years. So, I’m glad I downloaded Dized. Brought back joy into my life with my board games. I’m looking forward to so many more tutorials. In fact, I’m probably going to prioritize what I play and what I buy based off the available tutorials that are available on Dized. I just love that Dized has a mix of all different board games and not just easy board games. Cuz anyone can learn the easy board games, but the harder ones are more satisfying.

Italian please!

Beautiful app, but…italian please! 😢

Crashing on iPad

This is repeatedly crashing on my iPad, but has worked on my iPhone. Great app, but needs to work consistently on all devices.

Good idea, but ad-riddled

The idea is good even if the app feels clunky and slow, even on my iPad Pro. The worst thing is how frequent the video ads are. Really interrupts the flow. Given it was my first time trying it and it was trying to get me to pay for a subscription within minutes felt icky. Plus, once I know how to play… why would I want to follow through slow tutorials each time I play, ergo no real value in paying for a subscription. The fact it was so slow and taps often unresponsive left me reaching for a paper rule book instead.

Crashes on downloading any tutorial - widespread issue left unfixed

Title says it all. Seems like loads of tablets and phones - mine included - are unable to use the app due to a bug or series of bugs that instantly crash the app on downloading a tutorial. Considering the purpose of the app, it makes it extremely useless and it looks like the issue has existed for a while now.

If it ever gets fixed and starts working I’ll update the review, but as of today that is not the case.
