Barcode doesn’t work so the audio version isn’t an option… very disappointing.
Not working
You can’t make the app of which main premise is to scan a barcode form the book and not be able to scan a barcode from the book!
App only works with London and NY
I see from other reviews that this app is horrible. I downloaded the app to use with my French Phrase Book and the only options are London and New York. There is no option to add another language or location.
Can’t scan the barcode
Was looking forward to listening to these but just unable to scan the code.
Doesn’t work
Scanned the book code to unlock walls but audio guide “download failed”. Tried several things including deleting the app and downloading again, but no change. And it looks from the comments here that this isn’t a new issue

No zero star available
Such a disappointment that whilst the books are so good this (excellent idea) free walking door simply doesn’t work. Brand new NYC book. Brand new app download and the barcode won’t scan. Also to download the ‘free’ walks you have to buy the london guide! Why would I want a london guide when I live there and want to know about NYC? Come on guys you’re better than this ….

Bought brand new 2022 New York guide and doesn’t even scan barcode, so totally pointless. They should be done for false advertising!!

I’ve tried to scan the barcode on the back of book to link app and book. The scanning didn’t work.
Does not work on NY 2010 edition
Will not scan the barcode on the back of the 2010 edition of the New York guide to unlock all the walking tours. Useless.
The barcode will not scan - where is support?
I was very excited to try this because I have always loved the DK Eyewitness books. I can’t even find a place to request help for the app. I’m hoping this review will find it’s way to support and they will contact me (and everyone else) to explain how I can get access to the rest on the maps that supposed to be available.

Super Disappointed
Bought the book partly for the advertised walks with this app and it doesn’t even work. Paid a bit more for the guild thinking’s I was getting this feature and now it’s not even there. Feel ripped off. These guys need to get their stuff together.

Book scanning Fail !!!
Bought the 10 things book for our tour of London & excited to get the walking tour feature working on the phone. The app won’t scan... ... tried to sign up to the mailing list ... FAIL ....
There clearly is no desire to make the app iOS 12 friendly. Don’t bother downloading it... it’s clearly not part of their digital strategy. Go get the TimeOut app, at least the maps and events work over there.
