Free version is poor marketing
It’s useless to me as is and does nothing to entice me to pay for pro version. Deleting it from my iPad.
Versatile
An excellent app for studying your lens depth of field before shooting to help with aperture setting.
Colors
What do the different colors indicate? For example blue appears to indicate hyper focal.
Nice app
It would be good to see the horizontal field width also in the table. That would provide all the information to position the camera in front of the subject of estimated width. Then the aperture can be selected for the required DoF. Seems like determining the horizontal width comes first in the puzzle 😀

Excellent
Allows you to add your own lenses.
100% RESULT!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!!
YOU ARE GENIUS OF ALL TIMES!!!!!- ALEXANDRA R.
Works for only one focal length and one frame size
Unless it’s hidden somewhere I can’t find, this app works for only full sized 35mm sensors and 50mm lenses. I sent them a message, will comment if they tell me how to change to other lens formats and focal lenses.
Best app for a serious photographer
Fantastic job and cant express how grateful I am to find this.
Best app I’ve come across
Love using this app! Rather than finding out after taking your photos that the DoF is too shallow you can quickly select both the most appropriate lens and shooting distance for the light conditions: it allows you to answer the question” can I stop down to f1.4 and still have enough DoF for indoor sports for example when I’m likely to be 5m away. Hard to improve on this.!

Great app!
Clear and easy to consult.
Excellent resource
Quick reference tool that is very useful.
Excellent!
Simple, clean, straightforward and easy to use. I particularly like the lens data base with minimum focus distances. I have Nikon, Tokina, and Rokinon(samyang) lenses and they are all there. The pro version adds a couple of nice features. Highly recommended! Great customer support also.
Simple and effective!
Easy to use and has everything I need!
Just what I needed
Thank you, perfect!
Almost perfect
The charts and tables are far beyond what other DOF apps provide.
To add lenses to your database, you find them in a list of maybe hundreds of lenses. The list is quite extensive and includes all the major brands.
There is a payware version of this app available (plus others by the same developer) but I don't see how much better any of them are over this one. I'll have to explore
I have more than one camera body also, but haven't tried adding more yet. I don't see my older Nikon D2H but my newer D809 is there.
