Not a big help.
Response from developer
Thanks for giving Dog Thunder a try, and for the honest feedback. You’re right that Dog Thunder is not a live-radar app, and it won’t replace RadarScope for watching storm movement. I love Carrot for that! I built Dog Thunder for a different problem: getting a heads-up alert several hours before a possible storm, so I can decide whether to start my dog’s vet-prescribed anxiety meds before the storm sets in. By the time I’m watching storms on radar, that prep window is closed and meds won’t help. The free version focuses on potential overnight storms. Pro adds All-Day Monitoring, which checks for forecast changes every two hours. I’m continuing to refine how the app explains what it’s seeing and to give people more control over how and when to send alerts. — Bryan
