I LOVE THIS APP!!
I am a former IDF soldier and now present MOSSAD software engineer for the great state. My daughter uses this app for her school and it is so helpful!! Really proud of you David you made a great app and all of us at MOSSAD are happy about your creation!!! š®š±š®š±š
Absolutely kills your battery
My child had to install this for the start of the school year. It glitches and drains the battery. Iām sure theyāll be on here saying āThAnKs FoR yOUr FeEdbACkā but not actually fix the problem
Amazing app
Iām a student and this app this amazing, without my phone I get to spend more time talking to my friends Jeffery and Charlie. I highly recommend this app to all school in the world.
absolutely horrid
this app is just another excuse for schools and administration to invade your privacy. the idea of completely locking another persons phone is insane, let alone disabling it. you cant even message guardians, which is a HUGE safety risk. not to mention the data that doorman could be consuming off of your phone.

I do not like this app at all. I have days where Iām not doing the best and I need to call my parents for help but that doesnāt count as a medical thing. It blocks everything on my phone and I saw a review how it steals data and I was told it doesnāt. I donāt want to risk it and my own parents donāt agree with us getting this doorman app at all.

Any school administrator reading this, please do not install this
Hello, I am a student at Jefferson township high school ( go falcons!) and this app is not good. I have 4 main reasons for this
1: the app is overall extremely buggy, and at times simply doesnāt work.
2: the students who were getting in trouble over using their phones will find a way around this, so in the end, this will simply be punishing the good students
3: the app drains your battery. When the app is in lockdown mode, you canāt turn off your phone. For some, it may even cause the phone to die. For me, this could be a problem due to the fact I play soccer, and not having my phone can prevent me from contacting my parents after practice to tell them that it is over, and to come and pick me up
And the fourth, and possibly biggest issue: if doorman ever gets hacked, the hacker now as access to hundreds of thousands of high schoolers phones. What does this mean? They could potentially gain access to your location, photos, and apps. This is a huge issue that I feel most schools are overlooking.
So please, if you are a school administrator reading this, do not use doorman or any other phone locking app.

Calls and Texts
When i use this app, none of my calls nor texts go through in school, which is incredibly frustrating since no school is completely safe.
no choice
this app literally will notify admins and your teacher when you tap out of the app before the end of the school day. you canāt send messages, you canāt even look at the camera after tapping in the app. itās understandable that phones can be a distraction from learning but the fact that we canāt even do anything without the admins being all up in your business is ridiculous. not being able to use your phones during free periods or lunch is completely unacceptable also. you say itās for our benefits but it doesnāt benefits kids who are antisocial already. itās just all about control really. tap in the app or get in trouble. gmfu.

Garbage app. Cant be reached through messages
Iām a sophomore and my school started using doorman this year. We were told by the news system for our school we could still call and text. Yet my mom tried to drop off my lunch at the front office and said they wouldnāt call me down and she had to text me. I got to lunch and called her and when she told me she texted me I looked and nothing was on my phone until after school ended, when I finally received the message. Hate this app. Still not ready for release. (Also didnāt work for multiple classes and tapped me out right after tapping in)

Buggy spyware slop
I value my privacy and my ability to not be surveilled, so when my school implemented this new software, I was already super mad. Now, it doesnāt even work. Terrible functionality that interferes with school life, which is what it strives to make āhealthyā or whatever twisted idea this surveillance company conjured up. Plain and simple- you think this app is a good idea in schools, you are a sheep. I would say fix the app, but instead, just shut it down permanently. I canāt fathom how people view this as helpful- itās like a mousetrap with a giant block of cheese on it. Terrible app

Itās really good helps me lock in and do all my work but I just donāt trust the app at the end of the day I feel like somewhere in that app it steals data and collects it theirs just no way it doesnāt it controls all your apps especially your phone
Family Concerns
I am about to start school and they are making us use this app and itās really restricting. I thought I could still text my parents but messages canāt be received or sent. I have a family member in the hospital and when Iām in school Iām gonna want to know if they are ok. Instead I must worry the whole first week of school.

SPYWARE: A rant about doormanās ignorance
Spyware is defined by any app that monitors what you do nonconsentually TECHNICALLY doorman doesnāt do this however with the fact that in any school itās in it is FORCED or you are at risk of punishment the fact it blocks your ability to use your phone in any way shape or form in class unless you press a button that notifies a teacher that you are turning it off which in most situations will get you in trouble and the fact it makes APPLE MESSAGES unusable it might as well be I am a student from WHS whom is a part of the terrible experience of doorman this app is pure spyware and I do not feel comfortable with having school apps on my phone in case of a school wide data breach however I am now forced to download one that I already dislike including all the things i already said about this app itās also just an ignorant idea the whole point of a cell phone is to be able to contact people I understand in the sense of they donāt want you using your phone in class however this solution only will make students more angry (know I am) and now with school starting back again Iām forced to redownload it no app should make basic texting not possible Iād understand more if it didnāt but until I can text my mom normally without having to notify a teacher or risk getting in trouble for it this is a disgusting app the only reason Iām giving 5 stars is so it gets pushed to the top to be read STAY AWAY FROM DOORMAN IF YOU LOVE YOUR PHONE

The app
I canāt turn off my phone which makes my phone go from 100 to 50. I think I should be able to turn off phone. My battery might explode from using this to much
ruined my phone
After only 2 days of using this app anytime it would unlock at the end of the day my battery would be drained and my phone overheats to the point it makes my hand burn and i never had this issue before using the app.(i have an iphone 15 pro)
My opinion
Iām a student at shaker heights high school and I just want to say this app is dumb. first, the students reported that it doesnāt work and app drained my battery and I didnāt even touch it and usually my phone doesnāt do that.

Take this off. What if students have emergencies. Because the emergency unlock notifies the teachers making them question and get in trouble

Constantly having to update the app and doesnāt work very well with no wifi even with high cellular data.

My school is implementing this app and it drains my battery from my phone at a very high rate, which cause me to be unable to use my phone after school when Iām not on school time because it is dead.
