That is butt

It don’t even work bro

I can’t install it!!!!

I’m absolutely furious with this app. It won’t let me install it at all—it’s completely incompatible with my phone. And now, because of this, I have to hand in my phone at school—something I never wanted, and I can’t even use my own device. This is unacceptable.

Response from developer

Hi there, we're sorry to hear that you are having issues with installing the app. Doorman is designed as a tool to help schools enforce cell phone policies. The app supports devices running from iOS 16 and onward. If your device is older than that, it would not be compatible with Doorman and you would need to follow your administration's direction on how to otherwise comply with your school's cell phone policy.

gave me cancer

I installed this app then suddenly my body started weird. My body began by contorting in peculiar ways and growing tumors on my balls. I am severely disappointed by this since now i have mutated fingers and cant goon to futa. i will be uninstalling.

Not good

Needs a lot of work, seen better alternatives. Profit driven companies are taking over the school industry, applications like Doorman are slowly turning school toward profitability instead of learning. Fun. “Private company”, no info shared etc, but the company who actually owns doorman does not have a privacy policy on their page. Fun.

Response from developer

Hi there, we appreciate you raising this concern about privacy. To clarify, we have a privacy policy that is clearly disclosed on both our app and website. Student data privacy is our absolute top priority and our mission is to help schools create a focused learning environment while teaching responsible technology use. To be clear: Doorman uses end-to-end encryption to protect student data and cannot view messages, photos, or browsing history. We can not and do not sell any data. We would love to hear more about your experience and any other feedback you have so we can improve as an app. Please reach out to us at hello@doorman.school.

Pretty Flawed

All this app is doing is just getting your data. Data that can be hacked by hackers and sold off to people. Just let the F students be F students and care about the people that focus. Especially since it’s an invasion of privacy because why are 10 administrators looking if I deleted the app or tracking me?

I am a student

And this is an invasion why can my school still block certain websites after school?? Weird

Response from developer

Hi there, we're sorry to hear you are dealing with website restrictions after school hours. Doorman is designed with privacy-first and to only restrict access only during the schedule set by your school. We have features in place like auto-unlock, which can be configured by your administrators. Otherwise, you can always unlock from within the app once you are done with your classes or school day, depending on your school's policy. Please reach out to us at hello@doorman.school for more troubleshooting help.

Doorman

This app is very bad can’t even text my son to see if there emergency I do not recommend using this app

worst app ever.

this app does not work at all and is very risky to download.
One of my friends got a big virus on her phone and got her information leaked. Schools should never allow students to download this app because they can get sued.
As a bonus, this app does not work at all and allows all students to go on apps but some student’s phone does work but allows them to message and call for emergencies. There is also a countdown on your phone that is false. PARENTS, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!

THIS APP IS NOT SECURE

The CEO came in to talk to is about the app. Apparently, they didn’t do third part security testing. This means they could be putting students data in danger since there will be vulnerabilities in their system.

Response from developer

Hi there, thank you for raising this important concern about student data security. We want to assure you that protecting student privacy is fundamental to our mission. Doorman uses end-to-end encryption to protect student data and cannot view messages, photos, or browsing history. The only data we collect is what's needed for login and policy enforcement, and it is never sold or shared. We have legally binding agreements with the Student Data Privacy Consortium and other organizations to prevent data abuse, and Doorman also passed Apple's own rigorous review. Please reach out to hello@doorman.school if you have any more questions.

Terrible!!

This app was implemented in my child’s school and after a day my daughters phone was glitching telling her that a virus was a installed. THIS APP STOLE ALL OF MY DATA AND INFORMATION THAT I HAVE ON THIS PHONE. We had to report to the police station because the app was threatening us if we did anything that would stop them from taking our information they were gonna hurt us.

SAFETY ISSUE!!!!

I just found out my child is being forced to use this “Doorman” app at school, and honestly, I’m beyond disturbed.

As a father, I need to know my child can reach me at any moment if something goes wrong. That’s not negotiable. But this app? It basically locks their phone down during the day, and I have ZERO control over it. I didn’t download it, I didn’t approve it, and yet somehow it’s interfering with my ability to communicate with my own kid.

What happens in an emergency? What if they feel unsafe, scared, or something serious is happening and they can’t get through to me? The thought of my child being stuck in a situation where they can’t call for help is honestly terrifying. I don’t care what the intention is—no school or app should be able to override that basic line of communication between a parent and their child.

And from what I’ve heard, it’s not even reliable. It glitches, it locks things randomly, and there’s no clear way for parents to understand what’s actually being blocked or when. So now I’m supposed to just trust that this thing works perfectly… while also knowing it might not? That’s not reassuring—that’s stressful.

I understand schools want fewer distractions, but this feels like a massive overreach. There has to be a better way to manage phone use without completely cutting parents out of the picture.

Right now, this app doesn’t make me feel like my child is more focused—it makes me feel like they’re less safe.
