What you write stays yours. A chapter you have edited is no longer replaced by a newly generated one. A newer machine-written copy could win over your edit while keeping its edit date; Doris now refuses any automatic rewrite of a chapter you have changed, on your iPhone and on the server. The sentences you type onto a photo or a moment now reach that day's chapter even when the AI is unavailable. They appear in Evidence with the time you wrote them, exactly as you wrote them, spelling included. Something you choose to withhold from a day now leaves the page itself, including the Key Moments list, not only the links behind it. Also in this update: If you allow State of Mind in Health, the feelings and daily moods you log there can become part of your journal, described with the feelings you picked. Doris only reads them, and never guesses a feeling you did not record. Older journals are easier to reach. Small previous and next arrows, a clear way into the contents, and a page indicator sit around each chapter, and turning pages respects Reduce Motion. Doris asks better questions. There are 100 new questions shaped by what actually happened in your day, and ten writing styles to choose from, the original four among them. When you answer a calendar question, "Yes, it happened" and "I'm not sure" are now different answers. A question about a photo of people no longer guesses who someone is, and skipping it is never taken as a name. A holiday that sits on your calendar is no longer written as something you attended. Places you visit are recognized more carefully. Two branches with the same name stay separate, a nearby place Doris cannot tell apart is no longer guessed, and a correction you make is remembered. Doris lets you know when a source it relies on has been switched off, and tells a choice you made apart from something that stopped working. The Open Settings button in Connections now opens Settings. Chapters with many photos stop saving themselves over and over, and repeated sentence openings are tidied without touching anything you wrote.
