Pretty good

App is good for pretty basic projects wish there was a better option to create. I purchased the embroidery machine a few years back wondering if there is an updated app that may be compatible.

Difficult & clunky

Had to use for elna air artist. Took me a long time to understand it. Have been using it with difficulty and now trying to upload a file from Dropbox and Customizer will not show Dropbox in app. I have sync them both, then nothing.
Terrible app. It’s C2000. As a textile designer using Wacom/Eneas I am done trying to figure this out.

Won’t work

This app doesn’t work! It will only see the pre loaded images. Disappointed severely

Nice pictures but app keeps crashing

When you try and import designs it imports them in weird colours. If you try and import a second design the app crashes. Considering sending my machine back for a refund as it doesn’t work properly

Please fix

This app is really good and does everything I need it to. It’d honestly give it 5 stars I’m just giving 1 star so yous can hopefully read this a fix the issue I’m going to address. When I upload my own design it is very glitchy, and 9 time out of 10 it will completely brick my phone. It gets really frustrating.

Nope

At first this was really good and straight forward but now my design “cannot be found” and I have no idea how to fix it and I have read all the manuals and googled it too and nothing shows up for it...?

Excellent Embroidery App

I love this App! It’s easy to use and I’ve never had a problem with it. I have downloaded designs from embroidery websites without a problem. It’s super easy to add, delete, move and change colors within the design. You can add letters, names, phrases also. You can increase or decrease the size of the designs without a problem. Great app—thank you!!!

It’s ok

It mostly does its job. My biggest problem is that the app will sometimes refuse to save your embroidery file. Like I have to arrange the file and try to save it, it closes and takes you to the folder, and then the file is gone. So then you have to recreate the work all over again. I haven’t found a workaround that fixes this besides saving after every step and hope it keeps is (which means a lot of doing the same step over and over until it takes).

Great app but more instructions needed

I’ve had my embroidery machine for 9 months now and did struggle at the beginning with lack of instruction. I am l learning more and more all the time and am amazed at what this little app can do. Reading through reviews it does seem most of the bad reviews are from people confused about how to import designs from outside the app. Perhaps a tutorial on this would be helpful.

Can’t open the JEF file in the APP

This is not working ! Please fix this error , I tried so many times by opening the jef file in the Customizer app but when it finished , nothing is there ..... Also I tried iPad 4 and iPhone 11 Pro , none of these working

Doesn’t work on iPad

I have tried everything to get this to work on my iPad but no such lucky guess I am stuck using my little iPhone screen

NEEDS FREEHAND OPTIONS

I need to be able to import clip art into the Dot Customizer App in order to do more and make things to order pretty little pictures are fine but I want to embroider logos for people who already have templates etc and I wang to be able to design rather than stretch shrink and import from one category to another.

Alright app

The only problem I have is importing files to the app, it doesn’t specify what file they use.

Was happy until recent update

I was happy with this app until the most recent update, now the app won’t stay open (shuts down after a few seconds) and now can only upload one file at a time, then I have to shut off my device and restart to upload the next design. Please fix these bugs ASAP I want to use my machine

Good but improvements needed

When I first started using this app I found it fairly confusing, and it was hard to find the right contact details for the support crew, however, when I did get in touch with them I found them very helpful, and quick to respond via email. The app has some good features, especially now that I know how to import files (JEF format in case anyone is wondering, they're not very clear about it). However it can be clunky and glitchy. A bigger variety of fonts would also be great, especially smaller ones. I understand more video tutorials are on the way, which would be most helpful for other beginners like me!

Merryatric

At this stage I feel totally frustrated with the lack of instructions and clarity of directions. I have had an embroidery machine for many years so surely I should be able to understand this one. Cannot find text easily nor instructions for converting and transferring designs to the app. Needs a lot more YouTube tutorial videos.

Love it!

I am loving this app, and was thrilled when I tried ordering a cheap embroidery design from outback embroidery, I could just save it into the app and use it the same way as the designs that came with it.

Need to be able to download more designs!

I’d love to know how to get more designs on this app other than drawing them myself!! I have just gotten started in machine embroidery and am still fighting with tensions etc but can’t do much for my boys! Most of the designs are very feminine!!

Can not seem to import other designs

The app tells me I can add other designs from apps & so does my Elna Air Artist machine- but I can not see no option or instructions to do so. The App also says it has two levels one for beginner etc- I can only find one.

File types

The app says that it can import designs from other apps and can sync with drop box. Sounds great. What isn’t mentioned anywhere is the file type it uses and how you can convert other embroidery files to .istitch so that you can use more than the limited (but lovely) options that come in the app. I am feeling frustrated as this means I can’t do some specific projects that I wanted to try
