Love it

Great app, helps motivate me to be productive. I just wish there were more task icons. For example: News article/ Newspaper, Languages (Spanish & Chinese), Broom, Custom (choose your own emoji). Thanks!

Response from developer

Thank you so much 🙏 Good news — this update adds a batch of new icons (pets included 🐾), so there should be a lot more to pick from now. And if there's a specific icon you'd still like to see, just tell me and I'll add it 📝 Really glad Dots is keeping you productive! — Dots dev 🌕🌟

The best free app for Habit tracking!

By far the most simple app for tracking your habits. Very intuitive and easy to use. Highly recommended!

Response from developer

Thank you — "the best free app for habit tracking" might be the nicest thing I've read all week! 🎉 Simple and intuitive is exactly what I'm going for, so this means a lot. Thanks so much for recommending Dots 🙏 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Cool OLED and Minimal Design

Thanks for free unlimited habits, please add description, x times per week features to habits.

Response from developer

Thanks so much — glad the OLED look lands for you! 🖤 "X times per week" is already here: when you add a habit you can set its goal to weekly (or monthly) 🎉 A per-habit description isn't in yet, but I've noted it 📝 Appreciate you taking the time! — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Love this App!

I’m tracking no alcohol, no peanut butter, daily crunches… it’s fun and helpful to see success. I love the heat map and other views! Thank you!

Response from developer

This made my day — thank you! 🥹 No alcohol, no peanut butter, daily crunches… I love that Dots is part of that, and I'm so glad the heatmap and the different views are clicking for you. Thanks for taking the time to write this 🙏 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Providing Noticeable Feedback

The menu bar at the bottom blocks views if you have 9+ habits it’s hard to see the last habit because of the menu bar blocking the view. I’m not tracking anything crazy. Waking up without a phone, stretch, workout, skincare, journal, play game, drink water, sleep 8 hours, walk, & vitamins c intake. Backlogging data manually is a little hard because every time I left the app to look at my data in screenshots the calendar of each habit would disappear (not the data). I did it albeit the fact it took a lot of time. The look and feel of the app is great. Simple seamless. I love each view option. Just some minor drawbacks.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for such thoughtful feedback — and for tracking that many habits with Dots! 🙏 Good news on both: the bottom bar hiding your last habit is already fixed in the latest update, and the per-habit calendar disappearing when you leave the app is now fixed too, rolling out in the next one. Honestly, feedback like yours is exactly what's making Dots a better app — thank you so much for taking the time, it truly means the world. 🥹 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Suggestion

Loving the tracker. It would be cool if u added a notes section for the specific habit u completed. so u can write a short summary
or note for that specific day e.g how how it was to complete.

Good free tracker

Appreciate you taking the time to make app and making it free! Two requests, 1) have the habits sync across iPad and iPhone. 2) have each habit, have it’s own notification reminder option

Response from developer

Thank you so much — it genuinely means a lot that you took the time, and I'm really glad the free version is useful! 🙏 Good news on #1: cross-device iCloud sync between iPad and iPhone is something I'm actively building right now, so it's on the way. Per-habit notification reminders aren't in yet, but I've added them to my list 📝. Thanks for the thoughtful suggestions! — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Great and simple app but

I wish there was a feature to go back one day or two to tick my task as done, because sometimes i forget to tick it, and it already gets to the next dah and no option to go back and tick it.

Love it

Thank you for making a useful and free app! Love the usability and flow of the app

Response from developer

Thank you so much — this made my day! 🥹 I'm really happy the usability and flow click for you, and grateful you're giving Dots a place on your phone. 🙏 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Best habit tracking app

I mean what else can i say, its a habit tracker and its pretty dang good, best part? Its free

Response from developer

Ha, that's about the best review I could ask for — thank you! 🥹 Keeping Dots free and ad-free is something I really care about, so I'm glad it's landing. Happy habit tracking! 🙏 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Good app

I suggest you add to Apple Watch

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the kind words and the suggestion! 🙏 An Apple Watch app is genuinely a great idea, and it's something I do plan to build. I'll be honest though — I don't have a Watch to test on right now, so it won't happen immediately, but it's on my list and I'm planning to work toward it. Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned! 📝 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Great app

Great app for tracking habits. Only problem is the calendar is a day out so when you complete a dot on the Monday it highlights the Sunday before, would be perfect if fixed

super seamless

no random pop ups—just put your habits in and track them. I really enjoy this app 💜

Response from developer

"No random pop-ups, just track your habits" — yes, that's the whole idea! 💜 Thank you so much, I'm really happy you're enjoying Dots. 🙏 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

No subscription needed

Y’all don’t understand how many apps I have had to download and instantly delete bc it has ads or a subscription. Those other apps are pretty much useless unless you pay

Response from developer

Haha I feel this so much 😄 Keeping Dots free, ad-free and subscription-free is the whole point for me — thank you for the kind words! 🙏 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

minimal and gets the job done

i like that dots does not try to do so much. it is a simple app to keep track of your habits and does so with an aesthetic widget that is free, which is rare to see now. free apps often have chopped widgets, or widgets just gated behind a subscription. thank you dots

Response from developer

This means a lot 🙏 Keeping it simple — and the widget free and not chopped — is exactly what I set out to do. Thank you for getting it! — Dots dev 🌕🌟

It’s free

Very simple to use app I am glad I found it

Response from developer

Thank you — so glad you found it! 🙏 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Exactly what I was looking for

Everything else similar to this app has some kind of subscription model attached, so this works really nicely for me. Would love to have an option to rearrange the order of things.

Response from developer

Thank you! Good news — you can now rearrange your habits: long-press and drag to reorder, live in the latest update 🎉 Exactly what you asked for. — Dots dev 🌕🌟
