What's New in Dots

2.3.2

August 21, 2026

New in 2.3.2 Reminders are easier to reach, and widget taps land every time. • Reminders from the habit screen — a bell in the top right shows whether a habit will nudge you. Tap it to set the time and days without opening the editor, and the habit list now shows the same bell on every row. • Widget taps fixed — tapping a habit in a widget sometimes opened Dots instead of checking it off. That's fixed, in every widget. Thanks for using Dots!

Simple Pretty Flexible and Shill-free

Thank you. Eager next for notification and donation options.

Response from developer

Thank you 🙏 That means a lot. Good news on the first one: per-habit reminders are already in — open a habit in the editor and flip on the reminder toggle to pick a time and days 🎉 A tip jar isn't there yet, but you're not the first to offer and I'm genuinely touched — noting it 📝 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

So far so good

Just set myself up with about 8 habits. I lose interest in things if they’re too complicated when I’m setting myself up for ease. This was pleasantly straight forward. Will use this for a while for my morning routine and see how it goes. Thank you for the simplicity!✨💖✨

Response from developer

This made my day 🥹 Keeping setup dead simple is the whole point of Dots, so hearing you got through 8 habits without friction is the best feedback I could ask for. Good luck with the morning routine ✨ — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Great app for tracking habits.

As a person who loves seeing the progress day by day, the dots are great and also aesthetically pleasing.

Simple & nice

Very simple looking and easy to use, no ads or unnecessary features

Response from developer

Thank you 🙏 No ads and no unnecessary features is a deliberate choice — and honestly it's reviews like this that keep me resisting the urge to pile more on 😄 — Dots dev 🌕🌟

Free and has widgets

Title explains why I like it. I have not found others that have both. One feature I would like to see is the calendar progress tracker, but instead of only 1 habit you could see up to 4 at once and have each habit take up 1/4 of the box. Or maybe the wider widget but make it so you have several habits stacked on top of each other (imagine a table with the date on the top and the habit on the side). What I am trying to say is I would like to be able to see the progress of multiple habits from my Home Screen without using multiple widgets. Great app.

Response from developer

Thank you 🙏 Free + widgets is exactly the gap I built Dots for. One thing you may have missed: the Quick Habits widget already puts 4 habits in a single tile, each one tappable 🎉 But a multi-habit history grid — dates across the top, habits down the side — is a different thing, and a really good idea. Noting it 📝 — Dots dev 🌕🌟
