downloaded, went through all the steps to "create an account, agreed to ToS and privacy policy, etc., tried to open - frozen on cropped, inactive links homepage. closed, tried to re-open - still not working.

You were right, and we are sorry — a bug in that version could freeze the home screen for some new users right after signup. We fixed it in an update days later, and the app has come a long way since: smoother browsing, verified local pros, real neighbor reviews, and quotes in writing. If you are willing to give it another try, everything works from the first tap now.
