Surgeon Approved
I’m a surgeon but was recently a patient myself with drains that needed logging. Thanks for making this app. It was easy to use, free and had no ads. It’s exactly what I needed and no one tried to make money off of me. Thank you. This made my recovery smoother. I’ll recommend to my own patients in the future.

Falls short of Expectations
Drain IQ aims to simplify JP drain logging but falls short with a clunky and cumbersome interface. The app totals measurements from 7am to 7am rather than by calendar date, so a 6am entry on 10/25 is counted as 10/24, leading to inaccurate 24-hour totals. There’s no option to graph data, and measurements must be entered manually each time. Drains are listed in order of entry with no way to reorder them, which feels restrictive. On the positive side, it allows logging drainage quality, which is helpful for tracking fluid changes. Unfortunately, these limitations led me to delete the app from my phone. 2/5 stars.

Old School is better
Clunky app. After recording drain 1, app should automatically go to drain 2 for data entry or both should be on the same page. No graphical data shown. Tried to text data it failed. Tried to email data it failed. Finally had to take a screenshot to send. Dr’s office reported having the same issues with app.

Very useful app!
Very useful and helpful app for keeping track of my drains after surgery. I also used it to keep track of my intake of pain medication as well as other pills I was taking. A great update would be to have the ability to change the measurement descriptions to things like "pill" or other related measurements. Thanks!

Great app!
Awesome tool that makes keeping track of drain output so easy! It's so helpful not to have to worry about writing down and adding up , or remembering to bring the paper log to doctor's visit, especially at a time when you are more concerned about getting rid of these drains!
