My bad

My last review was caused by my ignorance. This is a fine app and developer.

Incredible App!

Drambo has revolutionised my music creation. It can do so much. I use it as a super advanced MIDI processor for my studio. It’s unique and wonderful, words can’t really explain how good it is.

There’s a learning curve. It’s absolutely worth doing, you get so much out of it.

The Dev is also a friendly and helpful guy!

I’ve Crossed The Event Horizon!

I’ve crossed the Event Horizon and now I can’t escape Drambo’s immense power!

There a bit of a learning curve here, and some areas of the documentation are definitely a bit lacking, but my god is this a crazy powerful tool for music creation and sound design!

Best Create your own synth/effect toolbox

If I had to pick one synth to have on a desert island it would be Drambo no contest. I recreated just about every synth patch from other stuff with Drambo and the ability to fiddle with any connection however you want leads to so much creative possibilities. I was initially intimidated but once you get over the first hour it’s hard to really go back to anything else with this level of power, quality and flexibility. D

Most Versatile Mobile DAW

This is the best mobile groovebox I've ever used, so much so I consider it a DAW. An absolute blast to play.

A Must Have

If you’re making music on the iPad, then this is a must have, along with Loopy Pro. An audio/midi Swiss army knife that covers sequencing, synthesis, sampling, effects - you name it, you can do it with a bit of playing around. Just brilliant!

No audio Tracks

A great Groovebox but without audio tracks its not for me which is a shame as the workflow is great

This app literally changed my life

And by that I mean my live set which is basically my life, and having a DAW that imho is better than Ableton for what I need (it’s like an octatrack if it were built by god herself) on my PHONE has done wonders to my creativity, every commute has become a jam for the past couple years now and the updates just keep on coming. I also evangelise this app at my monthly producer meet-ups. Big up the dev giku

It just keeps getting better

MI Plaits, voice synthesizer, improved help system… so many great additions! Best groovebox on iOS, period.

Stellar. Drambo does all the things, and does them well.

I’ve had Drambo for a few months, and it just keeps impressing and surprising me. There is a bit of a learning curve, but there is also plenty of help via the dev’s site and included tutorials (not to mention the new Help system with the last update.) That said, once you get over the hump Drambo is fast and intuitive. This is one of those humbling apps that makes you think twice before buying that new shiny hardware or app… “can I build it Drambo?” The answer is most likely “yes.” The in-app purchases are worth every penny. The UI makes excellent use of screen real estate, and helps keep you focused on the task at hand. I can’t stress how important that part is, and how other iOS apps drop the ball in that realm. The modules sound great. Is this the best, smoothest, angriest Sallen-Key filter I’ve heard in the digital domain? Probably. I’m a “hardware” guy and it takes a lot for me to get excited about iPad music apps. Drambo, Koala Sampler, and a knobby MIDI controller will keep m happy for the foreseeable future.

Wow!

I should have bought this app years ago. I have finally found something to replace ModStep. The developer has done a brilliant job. The workflow is perfect. Took a little time to understand the layouts etc but all sorted now. If you use midi and eurorack and you’re looking for a ‘heart’, look no further than Drambo!

Definitiv meine neue iOS #1 DAW.

The gift that keeps on giving

Drambo has been awesome since day 1, but it just keeps getting better. The recent addition of Mutable Plaits takes Drambo to another level. Thank you BeepStreet!

Elektron who?

Was going to buy a digitakt when I saw the new update making the sequencer midi-mappable, as well as adding custom profiles for the launchpad. Easily the best music app on the App Store!

The best

dRambo really is the best groove machine. Love it

One of the most innovative software projects on any platform & it just keeps getting better.

I truly think this is the best music app ever made.

Incredible

Just amazing. Thank you

A really lovely bit of software

I’ve only had this for a few days, but you can feel the love that went into it. It’s very flexible, and I’m only scratching the surface. My only critism so far is the arbitrary length of track you can have which seems to be limited to 16 bars. Weirdly this can be extended if you slow down the internal clock of the track. Seems super stable too. I haven’t yet experimented within a daw so can’t comment on that

Response from developer

Thank you! A single clip can be up to 16 bars long, and a song may consist of many clips/patterns. Open the clip launcher to edit the song structure.
