Your rating now reflects how you have been playing lately. • Results fade faster. A match loses about 3% of its weight per day instead of holding most of it for three months, so a strong session actually shows up in your number. A 6-2 session that used to move a rating by 0.007 now moves it by around 0.05. • Winning sessions pay more. A session that moves you up is worth half again as much, while a session that moves you down costs exactly what it did before. • Win more than you lose and your rating cannot go down. This matters most in Mixer, where you do not pick your partner: carrying a weaker partner to a narrow win used to read as underperformance and could cost you points. • The in-room ladder shows the right number. It could point the wrong way entirely, showing a small drop for a session that actually earned you a gain. It now matches what gets saved to your profile. Tournaments also got a lot of work: • Games per team means games per team. Ask for 7 and everyone gets 7. When the maths cannot be exact, one team plays one MORE rather than one fewer, and you choose which. • Ties are decided properly. If two teams finish level, the one that won the meeting between them finishes ahead. Team name no longer decides anything. • Each pool can run its own playoff and crown its own champion. Pools can be renamed and split by rating band. • Rounds can be reordered, and in Team Battle you can choose whether ratings show as DLR or DUPR. One thing to know: because recent play counts for so much more, your reliability drops faster when you stop playing. A few weeks away may show you as provisional until you play again.
