Great App!
Due to a backlog in the UK, there are not enough driving appointments to go around. Driving Genie found a cancellation for me, and I will be using it again!
Really easy to use, would definitely recommend
I downloaded Driving Test Genie as recommended by my driving instructor and I was not disappointed! I received my first cancellation within a week of downloading the app and it was for my top choice of test centre and a month earlier than my original test booking. All I had to do was reply to the text message and there was no frantic rush as the slot was held for 10 minutes. Received official DVSA confirmation only a couple of minutes later. It was super easy and quick to set up my account and the customer service is fantastic. The app itself has a simple interface which clearly shows key information and regularly updates looking for available tests. Definitely worth paying for this service and would recommend to anyone thinking of investing in it - it really takes the stress away from booking a driving test.

Very helpful
Original test was booked 6 months out. Driving Genie was able to offer a test within 2 months (4 months earlier). Very helpful!
Does what it is designed to do
Chose this app from a number of options available in order to reduce the wait time for my daughter’s driving test. I didn’t fancy logging into the DVSA web site every day checking manually. The app has an issue where it doesn’t display new test dates sent whereas the show on the Web site. However, the texts work fine. I signed up on behalf of my daughter and managed the booking for her.
Communication and support from the people behind it was pretty awesome too, only taking a matter of minutes to respond to a question.
Managed to get a test 2 months earlier than we originally booked.

Great Service
I used Driving Test Genie for my daughter and have had nothing but great service. Numerous dates for cancellations have been provided, one of which my daughter accepted last week to bring her test forward by over a month. It certainly made finding an earlier date easier by removing the daily checking we had to do previously. I've also had to make changes to her test location and some of other her details by contacting their online support. All such requests were dealt with quickly and efficiently. All in all I've been very impressed, pleased I took the plunge to use the service and would recommend it without hesitation.

Simple and fast
App is very simple and customer service is quick. Was getting cancelations within a week.
It’s actually really good!
Like many other I failed my test over something silly but was 100% ready to take it and fully capable (lol) so I wanted to get a test as soon as possible to fix my mistakes and get the pass! This app really really helps getting you test in quickly and I can’t stress how good the value for money is for the service that you get!
We I first got the app I was a bit unsure because I don’t really pay for app and services like this and for the first three days I had had radio silence but I just got a test which is only around two weeks after my original which is absolutely amazing .
I think the main thing with this service is to have patience! They even put up a refund guarantee if they don’t end up finding you a test so you absolutely know the service they provide is good!

Good Basic App
Had to book a test in not an ideal location just to get on the system so could then get a cancellation. Chose this as the driving instructor recommended. Once you work out how it works it’s pretty simple. You can’t select the test centres you have to email for them to add these on (up to 5). I have had quite a few options through. When I went to book them on 4 occasions it didn’t work as the DVSA site can have problems (is what I’ve been told). The last one I booked worked but still going to see if there is one sooner as it’s on the same date as original test.
The one thing that is good is the quick response you get from the support email. Just a shame sometimes it doesn’t work. I noticed someone said about a pain in having to check every phone message that comes up. You can set a different ring tone for the text messages that come through so you know immediately it’s from test genie.

Really works!
This app I was a bit dubious about after spending hours of my own time searching for a new date. After failing my first test the worst thing wasn’t even the failing it was the 6 month wait for a new date. After a week of no news I wondered if the app was a scam but I received a new date several weeks earlier than the one I had booked and had 10 minutes to accept which gave me time to speak to my instructor and confirm he was happy with the date and time too. I’m still hoping for an even sooner date but I have to say this app is a lifesaver and saves you the stress of wasting hours of time anxiously searching for test dates that may be sooner. Really good app, worth every penny.

Horrible, expensive and no results
I downloaded this app more than 2 months ago. It was the most expensive for such purpose. It yielded 0 benefit, 0 bookings and made me felt like my money was taken away for nothing. Also, the user interface is not friendly and you cannot make any changes on your booking details unless you email the team.

In leas then 12 hours I was texted with a date a whole month sooner. Very impressed. Definitely recommend
Excellent customer service
We’ve been using this app for a couple of months because my daughter failed her test so needed another one quickly. The app does exactly what it claims and searches for cancellations all the time, texting you when it finds one. However, the thing that sets it apart from other apps (we used a different one for my elder daughter) is the amazing customer service. You get a personal email really quickly after contacting them, even at the weekends, and they are happy to answer any queries or change test centres or update details for you. I’ve been recommending this app to friends based on the customer service.

Poor service, do not use
After booking my test 5 months in advance in December as the earliest date I could get, I attempted to use this service. I had to book any test I could get so chose Bromley but was assured that it could be changed to Hither Green if I used a service such as this. I tried another app (Driving Test NOW: which I would recommend above this one as it automatically books dates that you select) which changed my test to November in Bromley but I really hoped to change it to Hither Green so I tried Test Genie. In the 2 months I’ve had it they have offered me 2 different dates, one of which was only a couple of days away and thus not possible (too short notice for my instructor) and one of which I attempted to book the second they sent it but it already went.
I believe that the DVSA website has blocked the automatic booking service that apps like this rely on and therefore they no longer work. Do not waste your money- I never leave reviews usually but after attempting to get my money back I was told that the terms and conditions state that if they even FIND a date for you (not book, but provide one, whether it exists or not as many go instantly) then you are not entitled to a refund. DONT USE.

Totallly worth the money!
My daughter failed her test in June, next available date was end of November, within a week or two they’d alerted us to a date 2 months earlier! Sadly she was successful again on 23rd September but geni has been re-set (at no extra cost with premium) to start again! Next available test is February but I’m sure if tests come up sooner Geni will alert us. We had lots of last minute test alerts through too so if you’re using your own car and are flexible with when your available there’s a chance it could be even sooner! Other apps don’t all book it for you by the way! And if you have to book it yourself chances are it’ll be snapped up before you get that far!

Keep Looking
There are better products out there. This app did the bare minimum to find an appointment closer. I sensed they had given up so I employed another service similar to this one recommended by a friend. Not only was the other one CHEAPER, they were able to find me a date 4 MONTHS sooner. Don’t waste your time or money on this app.

We search for EVERYONE from 6am until 11:40pm, 7 days a week. Our support is also here 7 days a week (no other service even responds on a Saturday let alone Sundays too). I am pleased that you got a test date that you wanted though! Well done and good luck on the day.
Life saver
Needing to convert an overseas license quite urgently I was floored when the first available appointment was 6 months out. Signed up for the app and moved in up by 3 months in the first week. Still getting new requests including several within a couple of days that just didn’t quite work with my schedule - but I’m feeling positive.
It’s so simple. Get a text with an available appointment, reply book and you are done!!!

Amazing!
I couldn’t believe it when I went on to the DVSA website and there were no available tests to book for Skipton for the next year!! I started researching the driving test cancellation websites and settled on driving genie because of it’s great reviews, recommendations and easy to understand advice.
I followed their advice by booking a test in Steeton in late January 2022 so that we could get on to the system and then emailed them to say that we were only looking for tests in Skipton. I immediately received an email in response confirming that we only wanted Skipton and within 24 hours of joining we’d received a cancellation for that week. Unfortunately we were unable to attend on that date and I have just received only one week later a confirmed date in Skipton for the 10 th January 2022. Amazing when there were no dates for the next year.
I shall definitely stay with them to get a cancellation nearer to now and I have the upmost faith in them doing this!! I definitely recommend as per their advice that you set a distinct ringing tone for receiving their texts so you don’t miss the notifications.

Excellent service
I’ve been trying desperately to get a cancellation after failing my test first time. I had a couple of other apps I used for my first test- which were ok but not fantastic. I heard good things about Driving Test Genie and so downloaded and paid for the service for this second time. Upon downloading thought the app looked a little basic compared to the others, however it delivers results much more quickly as within a week I have already managed to get a cancellation 6 weeks earlier than my test date! Would like to get one earlier still as new date is in December. And fingers crossed I will pass this time!
Also customer service fantastic - I emailed with a few questions and requests and they were dealt with very swiftly. Would highly recommend this app!

Would definitely recommend
I signed up to Driving Test Genie after using a different app that was recommended, however as others have said, each time I saw a cancellation I would click the link but always missed out, even when I sat for hours constantly refreshing the page. I got desperate and thought I had no chance of getting an earlier date so did some research and found positive feedback for this app and so signed up. Within 2 days I’ve managed to bring my test forward by 1 month already and I’m hoping to reduce this further. I was unsure what to expect at first but it really does work, you just sign up and let them do the work, and now I’m no longer constantly checking for cancellations, I can relax.

Think twice before buy
Well I am writing review after trying the service. And querying the app developer. My feedback covers - 1. Is this the best app. Some compare site says so. Do check features on this app Vs others which offer exclusion of dates you cannot take test, autobook test based on your criteria’s including more than one test centre. So think on above feature limitation before buy. 2. Customer support After trying app. I queried developer and requested refund. I reminded and reminded. Did not get response. On third reminder, I stated going on social sites and putting reviews. I got response in less than 30 minutes and refund next day. Is great customer support only until you buy or post including refunds with no questions. Another line to think before buy. 3. Other apps also have features to switch on off your search. This one does not. In summary do not take high rating and compare site top of charts for this app to influence your buy decision. My experience is reflected in scoring I done for the app.
