Beware
I use this app for monthly parking. Every few months the garage will tell me they no longer have space for DropCar customers and will be rejecting all of them, and sometimes the garage tells me I owe them a bunch of money (the latest was $1500) and can’t have my car even though I’ve paid DropCar in full. The customer service from DropCar is ABSOLUTELY terrible when I have issues. It takes them nearly a week to return phone calls, and these are time sensitive phone calls that leave my car stuck or without a garage. Great idea, terrible execution. Just book directly with the garages.

Doesn’t Work
Paid for a monthly garage. Went through hassle of paperwork, moving car, etc. Showed up at new garage and they told me it was overcrowded and they couldn’t take me. Phone number DropCar provided is out of service. Nobody responds to emails. Not worth the tiny savings

Seems like at some point , the all got updated and does not allow you to use your password manager or paste a password in. I’ve given up on logging in
App works but no customer service
Lot damaged my car and denies responsibility. I pay Dropcar but they claim no responsibility either. Great rate but beware….
Great service!
Flawless process to get my account set up and great discounts on parking.
Proactive response
We were out of town when the city shut down our parking garage with no notice - following the collapse of a garage from the same owner a few weeks ago. Without us having to do anything, dropcar arranged a new spot for us a few blocks up the street and sent e-mail confirmation and called us to make sure we knew about the arrangements. Afterwards they called to follow up with longer term options. Very proactive, I did not expect it

Poor customer service
Getting started is a little confusing, especially if you try to book on the weekend It’s impossible to get an issue addressed quickly. Their phone number goes directly to voicemail. If you have an issue on the weekend, they’re not getting back to you until Monday via email. The fact that a certain garage requires me to print out paperwork was not explained before booking the parking space. All this could be cleared up with a 5 min phone call. Giving them another try…

Horrible service after a year
After a year, I was informed that my garage was no longer working with DropCar. However the app allowed the garage to be rebooked the day before the year was over. My card was charged. I had to make an appointment with drop car customer service to have them call me (customer service is very hard to get BTW). The rep got defensive, telling me that they no longer work with my garage and they booked it as a “glitch”. If your app has a glitch, it isn’t really MY fault. You’d think after a year, they would maybe do something about it. Alas, no. So now, I have to find a new garage, tonight. Certainly not using DropCar. Bait and switch. Bad service.

Amazing Customer Service!
DropCar has been an amazing! Their customer service goes way beyond the app. They go above and beyond and really accommodating. Super refreshing to talk to real people with solutions and customer experience top of mind.
Needs a Google Sign In Option
I originally signed up using a Google account when I had a Google Pixel. This app does not allow you to do that. can you guys place that option for this app?
May be a Scam — go direct to garage instead
Signed up for monthly parking in Manhattan 3 months ago. Took 2 weeks before the garage got the paperwork sorted and the customer service from DropCar was horrific. Sent them the NYC resident tax reimbursement form and have never heard back from them. Most troubling, got a call from the garage today saying they have NEVER been paid. DropCar has charged me every month. This isn’t worth the trouble.

Love Drop Car and the App
I have been a client of Dropcar since shortly after they launched. Although they have had bumps along the way (like any growing company) they have always done right by me. Customer service will always address any concerns promptly and they can get you some really awesome parking deals.
Avoid this app, it’s a scam
I highly recommend avoiding this app. It is a scam app. I thought it would be great help finding parking but the garage the app says is available is not and I’ve now been charged for months of parking that are not available. There is no customer service. Calls and emails have gone unanswered and now I have to open a fraud claim with my credit card.
Avoid! Totally bogus app!!

Great Discounts Monthly Parking
Used DropCar to change my monthly parking lot and saved about 30% (yes, in Manhattan and to a lot closer to my apartment). It was easy to download the app and sign up. The process was a bit awkward the first time I got to the new garage but that was it. One important caveat, it is your responsibility to check out a new garage just like you would do if you were picking a garage on your own; I don’t think DropCar necessarily does a separate screening.

No customer service
I have emailed the support email 3x to close out my account and delete my credit card info. I have no received a response yet and there is no phone number or other way to get in touch.
You need to provide a credit card to search for spots- not worth it! Same info I was getting online. Better off using spot hero.

Terrible terrible terrible customer service
Absolute worst customer service. Nobody ever picks up phone. Takes days and days to call back. Sometimes never get a response, including on important issues like billing.
Zero Info on the Garages
We ended up giving DropCar a try since we live in midtown Manhattan and parking is ridiculously expensive. Prices were very low and I quickly became skeptical but gave it a shot anyway. Booked a garage and upon getting there we found out there was paperwork that was needed that we never received and on top of that the garage was only open for 12 hours a day and closed on the weekends. The app gives you little to no relevant info on the garage including what the name is, only what I can assume are the city registration numbers. Better off just booking a space directly through a garage instead of getting a surprise with DropCar.

Poor customer service
Recently signed up and having trouble with the garage, wait to drop off the car, car not ready when requested, unable to park in Monthly spot, cannot pick up car.
As I understand that these issues are with the garage I cannot get anyone from DropCar to respond to an email or phone call.
Now waiting 3 days for a rep from DropCar. The phone number is a service, not DropCar direct, and emails are not responded to.

Scam Alert!!!
I recently signed up for a monthly subscription on the Upper West Side. The garage is a nightmare. It has one entrance/exit located on a one way street with cars double parked everywhere. It is a very busy garage with small landing space and at most 2 attendants at one time. You cannot pull into the garage if someone is coming out but need to wait on the street while people are honking at you.
In addition, you almost always have to back out of the garage when you pull in because the attendant is getting a car for someone who’s leaving and they will ask that you back out into traffic and wait. Once you finally get the car parked, you need to wait for the attendant to finish whatever other business he is dealing with and then inspect your car and give you a ticket (even if you’re a monthly). They have a text ahead feature but the car is NEVER ready when you get there.
You might be asking whether my problem is really with the garage rather than DropCar. But the answer is no. First, DropCar includes this garage on its list of monthly garage arrangements with no warning as to what you will be dealing with. Second, when I complained to DropCar through the app, it took them ONE Week to respond and they are not agreeing to do anything to ameliorate the situation: they aren’t letting me switch monthly garages, won’t let me terminate early and credit my account and won’t give me any partial refund to compensate.
Third, theoretically, the valet service would address the problem with the garage because I could have a DropCar valet pick up and drop off my car. Except you can’t. That’s the biggest scam of all from DropCar. I have had the DropCar subscription for two weeks and there is NEVER a valet available. So essentially, the cool aspect of being able to have someone else go through the hassle of this nightmare garage is illusory. They are selling a bill of goods. If this company manages to stay in business, I will be shocked. It’s really horrible.
