Great start but please keep going!

I’m exploring shelf apps and yours is the most attractive but I fear development has stopped. I could really use an iPhone version and sync between. Coming?

Great app, but lacking 1 important feature..

The app truly is amazing if you want something to put in slide over, drag a bunch of items into, and then organize into others later!
The only thing I see missing is having the app in the “share” menu for apps that don’t support drag and drop...hopefully something that can be incorporated soon, would take this over the top, and a true must have!

Useful, but a few wrinkles!

I’d actually been awaiting the launch of this particular app since one of the developers announced it on his website. It’s what I was hoping for with the new design of iOS 11. The UI is very clean and the option to sort by type of item is the best of any “clipboard” app. As is the ability to view the snippets in large or small. I also like the sounds and that they can be toggled on and off. That there are options to what you wish to do with an item is nice. However, I’d like to see a “press” open the file rather than bring up the menu of options. It seems the latter could be a 3D Touch or long press option.

I’ve been testing 3 and playing around with 4 similar apps during the iOS beta in anticipation for Dropped. Shelf has a more elegant design, but it is rather featureless when compared to this. Workbench is just messy/noisy and convoluted, but promises to be feature-rich. Pouch has a nice UI (a matter of taste; I prefer Dropped) and allows for renaming of files. This is VERY handy, especially with file names that are long urls. However, it lacks the ability to sort.

There are still a few bugs, but I’m hopeful that with all the wonderful effort the Dropped team has put into this well thought out app, they’ll be sorted out soon. Namely, PDFs don’t always copy over or paste and sometimes don’t appear until a forced relaunch. Deleting some text files copied from the clipboard doesn’t seem to work. I have 7 items in Dropped that are all just highlighted text from a webpage that I’ve dragged over and they will not delete.

Again, these are minor bugs and I’d say Dropped is on par with Pouch and Shelf. If they tweak these minor issues and add the ability to rename, this will be the absolute best app in this niche.

Best Shelf App

This is the best “Shelf” app available. Has all the needed features in a beautiful interface and never gets in the way. I will be using this a great deal as I get used to iOS 11.

The missing link

That’s the missing link between files and your apps. Just drop your files into Dropped. You can collect as many as you want and than push them into the app you want. The author is very responsive. 👍👍👍
