The app is flakey. No sound. Archaic interface. I deleted it.

This is great!

Too excited to sample from these. My only complaint is that, I wish there was new updates. Also some sort of loop sequencer would be cool to test out how well audio clips fit together.

I bought this already.

I bought this 2 years ago and thought the loops were great but now it has vanished from my purchased list and they want me to buy it again. Re listing is becoming all too common with Apple , I don’t like it and will not support it.

Response from developer

Wow, that is really not cool, but it is not our fault :-(. Please start a complaint with Apple and remove your one star, because this is in fact a one star for us instead of Apple. I promise you I will fix it if this is really happening. Contact us through our website www.iosappsformusicians.com. Thank you. Cheers, Meg

Superb

Everyone has to know their limitations in composing. Mine is creating that subtly in my rhythm tracks. Oh yes, I can work on a good drum sequence but now as I get older and more experienced this is just the app I need to really give my tracks the rhythmic skills they need. To me drumming is the black art I’ll never reach, when all my other skills are now OK. Seriously I’ve just spent 20 mins with this app and just added one vocal track in Cubasis and it reminds me of my old studio days with a bloody good drummer on hand.

Thanks for you feedback. We will put this on the ‘wish list’ Cheers, Meg for Go Independent Records

Great sound,great drummer

This sounds so much better than ‘fake’ drum samples. This drummer is awesome! An upgrade for my songs in garageband! And it follows your song’s BPM, which makes all loops usefull. Big thumbs up!!

Almost 5 Stars

All that fantastic sampling is let down by 1. Not being able to set an exact bpm. 2. Not being able to link a few fills to make up a song. Regarding 1. I do understand that if any of the samples were speeded up or slowed down the pitch would change. This would be acceptable and wouldn’t be that noticeable. I’m sure most musicians would understand. Regarding 2., I know the samples can be exported into GB etc, then worked on to form a song, but that takes a lot of faffing around. This app could have the ability to be a convenient, hassle free, superb sounding drum machine, ideal for rehearsing and song writing. Come on guys, give it a go and make this app a winner!

Sounds amazing

These worked terrific for me. I had recorded several songs in garage band. The GB loops just sounded bland. These gave the songs a great “real” feeling. Are there better drum loops that are more realistic? I can’t think of any in an easy to use app for ten bucks.

Unexpectedly Few useful loops for “1000”

Good sounds, but precious few useful ones.

Top app

I use it with GarageBand and it works really great. I use it for church and private rehearsals.

Great App!

If you need a click track but want something fun and sounds good, this is your app. Great drum sounds and variations of sound and tempo. I find it much more fun to play with when practicing. My only problem to the developers is that the 6/8 and shuffle bpm's are too fast. There needs to be options for a slower tempo.

Best rehearsal app ever!

Contains more than enough grooves in enough tempos without having to fiddle around learning how to use it.

Awesome app!

I think this is a great app for any musician looking to polish their chops without having to hire a real drummer or leave your home to do so. Loops sound great and tons of variety! Would recommend this to other musicians looking for something to write their music over and feel the groove while doing so.

Great app for bass practice!

This is a fantastic app for helping you practice bass. It's certainly more interesting than a metronome, and the drum sounds are real, so it sounds amazing.

I run mine through a Bluetooth Bean (wireless speaker) right from my iPhone. Great!

The only feature I really wish it had is the ability to save beats to a "favourites" list.

Great app! Worth every penny.

No longer works

Don't buy. The loops no longer work.

Great Sounds,Good Support Also...

I have been using Drum Loops HD with Auria Pro and GarageBand IOS for quite awhile, just added HD 2. I wrote with a question about the sound today, got a quick reply and some help. Good stuff.

RUBBISH APP !

Absolutely feel robbed ! Bought the app because I needed some Texas shuffle beats and rolls !!!!!! Just 1 crap roll and 3 crap shuffle beats to choose from , plus at the wrong speed ! Obviously the people who put this app together have never heard of Texas shuffle ! Which is an art ! . Total waste of £7.99 , I'd like my money back ! I can create a 1000 times better drum track in GarageBand drummer app !!!!!!!!!! RUBBISH

As Advertised!

I've been making music on iOS devices since 2010, and this is still the only acoustic drum loop app that suits my needs. You can mix and match the different styles as the kits sound the same in each genre. Effects can be added in other apps like MultiTrack DAW and Auria for variation. The drums were mic'd and recorded well; again, they sound great. I think the $10 price tag is fair for what you get. Love it!

Fantastic limited app

This is the best I've found for drum loops and believe me I've tried them all. The sound quality is phenomenal and I literally can (and do) jam to the loops for hours on my bass without them sounding stale or weird. Through a good speaker system or headphones they sound perfect and so well mixed. I'm so impressed and they inspire good music.

So the big gripe I have is there are set tempos provided and that is all. No ability to select bpm outside their fixed offerings. For example they have rock beats offered for 80, 90, 100 etc but nothing in between (e.g 85). It's fixed and this means you will have to either go too fast or too slow for songs. I understand they had to keep the size of the app down but it's a little frustrating. I would LOVE an update to allow more options and I'm sure it could be done. I'd even accept time warping just to make it happen. Even an 'experimental' section doing this would be good.

Otherwise ignore any mention of a lack of beats. The ones here are so good that I'm not left craving anything else. Just amazing and totally worth the money for the quality you get. Layout is great and easy too. Oh why put such a limitation on it! I want to give less stars but it's really too good to knock it down any less than 4/5.

It's ok.

I love that this program is compatible with raw recording, but the beats leave a lot to be desired. The pop/rock beats are the run of the mill 4/4 crap. They put waaaaaayyyy more effort into the Jazz section than anything else. Which is fine if that is your thing. I love the idea behind this app, but they should get a better rock drummer.
