Doesn’t Work

I have tried numerous times to get the app to hear my pistol when doing dry fire training, and it doesn’t hear the pistol.

DO NOT BUY

Don’t buy, can’t get refund. App doesn’t pick up any sound at all. $10 wasted.

Does not work at all

This app doesn’t work at all. Paid for the upgrade to turn up the mic sensitivity and it doesn’t work even when in contact with the gun, or from several inches away, regardless of where the mic is pointed. Don’t waste your money.

Fregatura

Installato su iPhone pagato per averlo completo e non funziona come se non ci fosse il microfono, pur avendolo abilitato in IOS e riavviato il telefono

Does not report accurately at all

I tried this app in preparation for a quick draw event, counts down, but will NOT pick up the dry fire shot. Not even when holding the phone next to the pistol. Absolute garbage and misrepresentation.

Response from developer

Sorry for your bad experience, and thanks for the feedback.

Dry firing

It no longer works for dry firing. It cannot pick up the sound.

Worse than before

Worse than before. Doesn’t pick up dry fire shots

Response from developer

Sorry about that, we're working on a fix.

Worst of the worst

Absolute garbage

Sensitivity does not detect

As the title, the sensitivity is non existent. $5 for this to not even pick up the trigger pull of a pistol or rifle is kind of sad seeing as the government listens to what I say through my phone all day. If the sensitivity issue is fixed this would be an awesome app and I hope it gets sorted!

Doesn’t work at all

This thing either detects its own beep, or if the sensitivity is too low detects anything but the click of dry fire. It’s useless, and that only after paying $5…

Does not work

I have tried numerous times and the app will not register the dry fire on the 3 guns I have tried (2 caniks and a Glock). I even put the phone next to the gun with the sensitivity on high.

It works if you’re willing to work with it

It’s not perfect but for $5, I feel it’s worth it. You will likely need to get creative to find ways to get gun close to phone mic upon drawing and pulling trigger to dry fire. Even on high sensitivity, seems you gotta be within a few inches. What I did: Used a camera phone tripod and positioned phone mic at level where I would draw and present. Took me moving back or forward a foot here or there to get my extension distance right. Upon doing so, it seems to pick up 50-75% of dry fires. Sometimes it will pick up sound of drawing from holster. If you’re on fence, give it a try.

Needs more development

I paid for the premium version hoping for some improvement, but the sensitivity is very inconsistent.

Sometimes the app picks up its own been, showing a .04 sec time. Sometimes the app picks up the sound when removing my pistol from the holster. And sometimes, it picks up nothing at all.

Some guidance and repeatability is really needed here. I think airpods compatibility would be beneficial here to get a mic closer to the pistol, and further from a holster.

Not detecting trigger pull

On high sensitivity it's not stopping the timer. I've tried positioning the phone multiple ways and even right next to the gun and can't get it to track accurately.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear this. We will look into it.

Not a Good Dry-fire App.

If you are looking for a dry-fire app, keep searching. This app is not sensitive enough to detect the trigger clicks of the gun, even when you have your phone right next to the firearm.

Response from developer

We are sorry to hear that. We will look into it.

Nope

Sensitivity would register my draw from holster but not the dry fire. Anything less than high wouldn’t register at all. Needs work but this is useless

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback

Really want to like it

Unfortunately, when the sensitivity is set to high or medium, it will immediately pick up background noise and return a time of 0.04 seconds even in a very quiet room. However if the sensitivity is set to low, it won’t be able to pick up the sound of the snap cap at all.

Very disappointed because I really love the ui and simplicity of the app.

Doesn’t work

Does not detect trigger click.

Easy to use; not sensitive enough

I’m testing this app in my bedroom. It’s on high sensitivity. My gun is a S&W M&P9. The app doesn’t detect my trigger click 9 out of 10 times. It detects me racking the slide. Hope this helps.

Response from developer

We're working on adjusting the sensitivity. Thanks!
