Worst App on my iPhone
This is honestly the only app on my phone that seems to get worse over time. When Drybar first launched, the app was terrific for years. But as the company has grown over the last several years, the app experience has steadily declined — and somehow feels worse now than it did at launch.
The location search functionality is especially frustrating and wildly inconsistent. For example, if I search “Newport Beach” locations, the app shows me ALL California locations — including Northern California salons that are 5–6 hours away — before showing nearby Southern California locations. Newport Beach is about an hour from me. It makes no sense.
Today, I simply tried to change the time of an appointment and, for the first time in forever, the app asked me to log in again. My login credentials didn’t work, so I reset my password. Then I kept getting error prompts saying I needed to add a number and special character — even though my password included both (@, !, and numbers). The app still wouldn’t accept it, and now I’m locked out completely.
At this point, the app is beyond frustrating. Drybar is too established of a brand for the user experience to be this consistently bad.

Update is garbage
Loved the app until the update, now it’s useless. The font is unreasonably large and I can’t scroll down on the date to schedule a time. Now I have to call which is incredibly annoying compared to being able to use the app. Just FIX IT PLEASE before I give up on this business completely!
Update not working
Unable to scroll down and schedule appointments once date is selected. Font and pages are blown up 100 percent. Wish I could go back to old. Have to call now to schedule

You should be able to check dates at nearby locations without having to start a new search each time
App reliability poor
The app constantly logs me out and is not reliable. Very painful. This feels like an esy thing for the tech team to fix. Make it more user friendly. Also, I don’t like how I constantly have to select “extensions or not” let me tell you I don’t have extensions and then remember it for me. Too many extra clicks to book appt

Terrible app
The add to calendar function doesn’t work; the map shows you locations that are not open. These are very basic functions and it’s remarkable that a business this old hasn’t figured out how to resolve these issues.
If it isn’t broken…
…don’t fix it! I get notifications to update the app almost weekly. The 1st iteration of the app (when the company started years ago) is still better than what they have today. I’ve been with DryBar since day one, it’s depressing to see one of your favorite brands go down the tubes. :(
Love the new app!
The new layout and updated features of this app have are now on par with the modern and sleek shops themselves! I LOVE having a single place to handle ALL my booking desires!! It remembers my previous appts and allows me to rebook with the same bartender and everything! Blowouts and scalp massages never being a few finger taps away is self-care at its finest! Peace & Love!!!

App never works
I don’t know why they bother with an app. It’s filled with bug after bug. It hasn’t worked in months. I always have to call to book an appointment. It makes me want to cancel my membership
Such a pain
It’s 2024. Why is this app so annoying now?? I have to log in every time and for some reason sometimes it says my email and pass don’t match. I wish it would just Face ID.
If there isn’t a time slot at a store, you have to start from scratch. It would be nice if it showed alternate stores in the area with times. The Fandago app does this now for movie times and it’s so nice.
Otherwise, I do still enjoy a trip to Drybar.

So many login issues
My login doesn’t work unless I uninstall and install the app every time… that was the suggestion from support. Totally absurd.
App is terrible for a long time
Issues:
- the detection for my location to determine nearby shops often mistakenly thinks I am on the other side of the country
- you have to click through many many screens only to find out that any given location does not have availability
-it would be useful to be able to search by date (rather than location) as there are many times there is no availability at a given location and I check 4-5 locations (with every question everytime) before I can find a location with availability
- I am locked out, getting an error when I request resetting my password, and when I emailed the listed email they just sent me the same link again
-these issues have been in place for several years and nothing gets improved on the build

Consistently broken
You need to add better error messaging in general, it seems your only message is server error. Also, if you break your auth flow, maybe email your users or add better messaging around that instead of defaulting to “you’re locked out”.
Frustrating
I’ve had to create new logins with each Drybar change that gets pushed. Further, the app constantly tells me my email and/or password are incorrect even though the exact same credentials work to sign in online. Why have an app if I have to book through the website? An app I can’t even login to 80% of the time. Not to mention the website frequently has issues loading - example, I go to select date and time of appointment and the the times do not load.

Love DryBar but WORST APP EVER!!
I’ve been going to DryBar since the first one opened in Brentwood. 5 stars+ for the actual company 1- negative 5 stars for the app and all tech associated with it. I rarely write app reviews, but this one’s so bad. I hope corporate reads it. I have a double barfly membership and I always have issues booking through the app. I was even traveling out of state and same thing issues with the app not only that when I tried to search online it would reroute me to a further DryBar than the closest and one I wanted to go to…. Because I was out of state I wasn’t quite sure what was right and almost ended up at the wrong one… only mentioning because that particular shop said it happens a lot! seems to me that’s also part of their IT department following up on complaints and making things populate correctly
