Doesn’t actually call

Call outgoing doesn’t work

Perfectly simple

This is outstanding. As a collector of vintage telephones which I restore and set up as a hobby and which I use throughout the house, this is a tremendous asset. I can enjoy all the advantages of vintage audio quality and dial long numbers from my iPhone address book without the hassle of loop disconnect dialling and also generate *# etc when needed.
The variable speed is brilliant and the default is spot on. Tone clarity perfect and works brilliantly with my iPhone12 mini.
Congratulations on a perfectly simple app.

Works ok, but cannot handle spaces

This dealer is quite good as long as the phone number does not contain any spaces.

It will refuse to paste a number from the clipboard that contains spaces, and ignores contacts entries that contain spaces.

Since most contacts entries will contain spaces, since human memory is only good at remembering blocks of numbers, you will find that most of the contacts you wish to call cannot be automatically dialled with this program.

You will need to copy your number, paste it into an editable location, remove the spaces, then paste it into the dialler.

Since this is neither an elegant nor simple solution, I cannot give this program more than three stars. A change to the code that would let it correctly parse numbers for you would make this program a solid 5 stars

Great little app!

Simple, straightforward, does exactly what it says and does it well! :)

... doesn

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, though it's hard to know what this would be, since the application is so simple. But whenever I "dial" a number using Operator on my iPhone, the dial tone persists for a while on the land-line phone, and then I get a busy signal, even when I know the phone I'm calling is not busy. This happens every time and with every number. I've tried adjusting the iPhone volume, and I've adjusted both the dialing speed and the gap between tones in the settings for the application. Nothing works. The iPhonso website provides no support of any kind. (Also, why does the screenshot show the user holding the earpiece of the iPhone next to the microphone of the land-line phone, when the tones play through the speakers on the other end of the iPhone?)

No more typing a number

It is just a great idea, being able to dial from your iphone into another phone.
