Thank you for the honest rating, and for saying the app was great. You are right that this changed: the app was free for a long time and now the advanced modes need a subscription. I build and support it alone, and the running costs became real. Two things worth knowing. If you decline the main offer, a reduced one appears. And version 3.7.5, live now, adds a Game Center leaderboard for each of the 12 Lab mini-games and replaces the robotic voice with the natural iOS voice in 12 languages. Almost great
It is feature rich and seems to be completely free as advertised. I would rate it 5 stars but have come across one issue and one missing feature so far holding it back.
The triple n back mode that utilizes color, one of the colors is red and one is pink, among others like green, blue, purple, yellow. The red and pink are way too similar. I’m not sure how this made it in to be honest. The test is about memory, not discerning colors. Use white or orange or anything that isn’t so close.
Also, it should allow mixing and matching variables. Let me play triple mode but with position, audio, and shape, instead of color. Also, having color as the third mode as it stands makes it so color blind people are at a disadvantage. I see no benefit to having the modes locked as they are currently.
Love the app and looking forward to updates and improvements.

Since you wrote this, version 3.7.5 has shipped: a Game Center leaderboard for each of the 12 Lab mini-games, and the natural iOS voice reading the letters in 12 languages instead of the robotic voice. Apart from the social aspect it would greatly enhance the game if there was a daily game tracker for streaks for accomplishing certain daily goals
