Frequent freeze instances - not tested/baked out properly - should also be designed to run in the background so the phone does not have to be on the app all the time. Seems like a project from some college kids trying to get a C in class.

Response from developer

Dear Mr. MVG55, thank you for your review. We confirm that the system requires the app to be running in the foreground. Ducati is committed to providing the best possible service, and our team will continue to work on improving the functionality and stability of the Ducati Connect system. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further details to share. Thank you, the Ducati team.

So Bad…

SECURITY ISSUES—Do yourself a favor and don’t even try to use this app. It’s very bad including the requirement to have your phone constantly unlocked for it to operate after granting it every permission under the sun.

Response from developer

Dear Mr. Todd, Thank you for your feedback. We inform you that Ducati, together with its partners, is actively working to improve the service and experienced offered. Your correct, the current system does require clients to keep the app in foreground in vehicle mode. If you have any other feedback or questions, please contact our Ducati Support team. Thank you, The Ducati Team

Absolute rubbish

This app is absolutely rubbish, unstable, energy hungry. It might connect, it might not, it might stay connected but probably won’t, it freezes/sticks and consumes your phone battery leaving the phone hot. This app needs a complete revamp and relaunch. For a premium motorcycle it really isn’t good enough

This app makes me regret the bio

This app and the navigation system on my 2025 Multistrada is so bad that I regret buying the bike. I don’t know who slept with somebody to get this approved or which executive’s nephew was given the contract, but it is absolute garbage.

The app is beyond frustrating to use because it rarely functions enough to use. The phone doesn’t connect to the bike and no amount of fiddling will fix it. When you do manage to get a connection then you have to leave the phone unlocked and the display on, draining your battery. Also, be prepared because the phone will disconnect on a whim. I have both an iPhone and an Android and both have the same issues.

Seriously, do not buy the Ducati with the intention of using this app. Assume that you will need a GPS or phone mount so you can use a real solution.

Dear Michael, thank you for your report. We are not aware of disconnection episodes within the system. We kindly invite you to contact our Ducati Support team to verify the situation: https://www.ducati.com/us/en/company/customer-service Thank you, The Ducati Team

What an abomination of an app and turn by turn map integration ( even on 2025 models! )

Everything about this app is frustrating

Have you not heard of apple carplay before?

You need to leave your phone screen ALWAYS UNLOCKED for this app to work on your ducati

I have a pikes peak 2025 multistrada and I cant believe I have to look for a solution to either mount my phone or an additional display to get google maps or apple carplay

Your sygic or wtv map app is an insult to anyone spending that kind of money for a motorcycle. Why cant we just have apple carplay, or google maps for that matter? This app just drains the battery on your phone and you need to keep it plugged in. Honestly, would have not bought a ducati if I knew this is what the phone integration was my only option. Ill have to now buy and add a phone mount to my bike.

Disappointed

I’ve just recently purchased a new 2023 Multistrada V4 Rally, which is an amazing motorcycle. The Ducati connect app is hit and miss due to needing to have the screen open on your phone, connectivity issues and needing to restart the pairing process whenever you briefly turn off the vehicle. The worst part is the Sygic GPS app that Ducati has decided to pair themselves with. After associating with high end brands like Bentley, Lamborghini, Poltrona Frau, and supreme, Ducati chose to lock themselves in with a cheap Chinese knockoff equivalent of a mobile mapping system. The Sygic app has issues with crashing, vague instructions, needing to download maps before routing, and a non user friendly interface. This app has left me stranded on a 1,100 mile road trip relying on a GPS on my $400 smart watch. Rather then maintain their status as the highest end motorcycle brand in every aspect (I own 4 and have a 5th on the way) they choose to instruct other reviewers that they must not be using the premium version they provide (I am). 4 years and over 20 complaints about Sygic and the response has not changed. If they equipped these vehicles with android auto and Apple car play, they could get rid of both of these apps and have 2 great options on a luxury touring motorcycle. The persistent mediocracy on this issue has me worried that Ducati is cutting corners on things that buys may not notice until after purchase.

Dear Novak130, thank you for the feedback. At the moment the only app supported is Sygic, whose Premium licence we provide free of charge. Moreover the system requires you to keep the app in foreground in vehicle mode. However we would like to kindly inform you that Ducati, together with its partners, is actively working to improve the service offered. To verify the turn off disconnection reported, we kindly invite you to contact the Ducati Support Team: https://www.ducati.com/us/en/company/customer-service We hope that you can reconsider your opinion. App freezes - even with premium subscription

I pay for the annual premium subscription, but the app freezes up in use.

I’m using it with an iPhone 16 on latest iOS. But the app has been dangerously useless on the last couple of rides I’ve used it on.

We need Ducati to enable google maps!!!

Useless

For navigation to work, they want you to sign up for a subscription to a map service I have never even heard of. Furthermore, the app wants access to your location at all times…

As far as integration with the bike, yes it will start with Bluetooth and try to establish a high bandwidth WiFi connection, but I am not sure for what purpose.

If you have a Multistrada, get the Evotech mount for the GPS of your choice. The bike will still allow call management on the dash without it.

Dear Sailingfun_APC, thank you for your feedback. We would like to inform you that currently the only app supported is Sygic, whose Premium licence we provide free of charge. The position is used only by Sygic during the navigation, is not used by the Ducati Connect app. The wi-fi connection is necessary to mirror the Ducati Connect app on bike's dashboard, the Bluetooth connection instead is necessary to connect your smartphone with Ducati Multimedia System module fitted in your bike and have access to phone and music features. Premium bike - sub par navigation

With a bike that has all the bells and whistles, adaptive cruise, blind spot lights, automatic load adjustment, etc.
I expected to be able to have a navigation system on my Multistrada V4 Rally that actually works. After 17 months and 20,000 miles I have to say that this is the worst navigation and communication system I have ever experienced. Even the cheap rental cars come with Apple CarPlay. C’mon Ducati, be the premium motorcycle company that I know you are and update the software to allow for Apple CarPlay! Yes, I will pay extra for it. It’s embarrassing that a high tech company like Ducati makes its owners suffer with this nav system. Even HD has Apple CarPlay now.

Unreliable

Shockingly temperamental, can’t rely on it. The 3 way interface between the Nav system, the phone and the bike is flawed. Needs a major system update. However when it does actually work it’s Majic. It’s a shame and let’s down superlative motorbike fit for any touring adventure.

Fix. The. App!

The old Ducati connect didn’t work - so had to download the new one.
1. Cannot connect to app at all.
Scooter is pro3 - iPhone is 16
2. Despite being RIGHT next to scooter … it does not connect
2. My fobs no longer work (for some reason) so now I have a expensive paperweight in my laundry
3. I am in Australia (there is no support in Australia)
4. How did this pass quality control with Ducati ? I got a Ducati supposedly for the quality however I feel a knock off version from Temu would work better.

Highly HIGHLY disappointing I can not use my escooter.
An I have zero way to fix or connect to it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Will not connect to iPhone running 17.6.1

Music

It would be great to have the option to connect to Spotify

Disappointed..still

Just had my first spin out on my new MTS V4 Rally Radar, traded in my V4S and sadly the issues with Connect seem worse. Not sure if it’s the bike or the new App update issued last month - I’m running latest iOS and all my apps are up to date. The Sygic map is effectively blank other than the small direction/next turn box in the top left corner and distance to go etc. given the cost of these bikes, you’d think Ducati would sort it properly once and for all. Safe to say the Ducati Connect app is utterly hopeless.

Truly horrible app

I have 2 Ducati motorcycles that I love. They are artful in design and performance. The Ducati Connect app is the complete opposite. It is cumbersome, buggy, invasive and in-artful in every meaningful respect. From one day to the next, or even from one same-day ride to the next, it can’t complete or sustain the WiFi pairing. Nearly every ride starts with an unexpected re-pairing of the WiFi connection. Then, the WiFi connection frequently drops mid-ride. Ducati Connect requires always on tracking, so my iPhone frequently alerts me a day or so later that the app is still tracking my every movement. It is shameful that Ducati hasn’t made this app even marginally functional in 4 years.

2024 diavel v4 won’t connect

My phone is paired, I tried pairing twice already, but the app keeps saying it failed. Garage for something that is over $30k

Dear customer, thank you for your review. We would like to inform you that we have released an update to the app that improves its operation and stability, and hope that you can change your review. Please also check with your trusted dealer that your Multistrada has SW dashboard at least v. 25. Please do not hesitate to contact us at our customer service, we remain at your disposal. Thank you, the Ducati team.

Useless app. Borderline dangerous.

The app uses a wifi connection between your phone and the bike that needs to be restarted through multiple steps every time you turn off the bike, or get a phone call, or use another app, or just because it feels like it.
Even after you get it running, and before it disconnects, there is only one choice for navigation (Sygic) and no streaming music. And again, if you get a call, poof disconnected so, dont. Texts? HahaHa.
Also, you need to leave your phone unlocked and the app open, so it needs to be in the phone pocket with the usb plug or youll be dead battery land in :30. So, forget your phone and someone else will have your unlocked phone in their grubby hands.
The only good thing this app has going for it is that it is so bad nobody will use it.

Terrible app

This is a nice concept but the way it works is terrible. Your phone needs to stay on with an active screen for this app to connect to the bike. After about 10 minutes your phone is so hot you can barely hold it. Surely Ducati can find a better way for the phone to connect to the motorcycle rather than cooking one’s phone.
