About

Dune Weaver turns your phone into a full remote for your kinetic sand table running Dune Weaver Firmware. It talks directly to the table over your Wi-Fi — no cloud, no account, and no separate server to keep running. Nothing leaves your network. BROWSE & RUN - Explore a library of around 1000 patterns and run any of them with a tap. - Optional pre-run clear: adaptive, from the center, from the perimeter, or sideways. YOUR OWN PATTERNS - Import your own .thr files at full resolution and push them straight to the table's SD card. - 100 built-in patterns ship with preview thumbnails; imported patterns get previews generated right on your device. PLAYLISTS - Create, edit, reorder, loop and shuffle playlists. - Pause between patterns, clear, and auto-home options. FULL CONTROL - Home, stop, pause and resume, and adjust speed. - Live status with a polar progress trace and real-time ball position. LED RING - Effect, palette and color pickers, brightness and speed. - Run and idle overrides plus a ball-tracker effect, driven by the table's on-board LED ring. MORE - Quiet hours ("Still Sands") to pause overnight. - Auto-play on boot, multi-table support with a quick switcher, custom name and logo, and light or dark themes. The phone and table must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Dune Weaver is open source (GPL-3.0).

What's New in Dune Weaver

1.1.0

A big update with lots of polish: • Between patterns, the app clearly shows the table is waiting — with the pattern that’s on the sand and a live countdown to the next one • Install any firmware version right from the app, not just the latest • Motion-reactive LEDs: set the look you want, then “Save current” for playing or idle; brightness now shows as a percentage • Playlist options — shuffle, repeat, and time between patterns — are remembered per table • Table settings lock while a pattern is running, so changes don’t fail silently • More reliable connection to busy tables, timestamped table logs, and a smoother “copy playlist to another table” • Sliders no longer scroll the page while you adjust them, and long times now show hours
