Don’t Download. Broken Game
Been playing this game since 2017. There have always been issues with functionality and customer service. But this is the last straw.
A couple weeks ago, the game stopped working properly. All purchases made whether recent or weeks earlier were rendered useless. The live version, where you have numerous competitions with purchased bonus players was set to end on approximately March 15, 2024. That’s pretty standard in each yearly version.
This year, around the beginning of February 2024, the game went dark. Money spent has been rendered useless. All of the normal live season elements of the game are gone, disabled or just vanished.
And get this. No notice. The season had 5 more weeks before the live version was supposed to go into what we call postseason mode. And shockingly, in this social media world we live in with so many outlets for company’s to communicate with their customers, we have not heard a peep from EA Customer Service. No posted messages anywhere, no emails, no texts. Nothing. And no responses to anyone I’m aware of in any form. Yet we know they’re around.
They posted a message in game this weekend saying “Sometimes the best news is no news”. How incredibly rude and unprofessional.
I wouldn’t play or pay for any EA game whether on a pc, console or mobile. These guys have gone down hill and fast. Good riddance Glu.

This game is absolutely GOATED it lets you make a team and does require internet but can really take your mind off of things like right now I’m sick but I’m playing it so take it from me THIS GAME IS FUUUUUN and after you play for about three months the ads ( which don’t even come much ) go away and I’ve only played for about three or four weeks but it used to completely block me out of the game every like ten mutineers but know it stopped (: and I would not recommend giving it to a 5 year old or younger because a lot of the good people are from the 1900s and I’m only eleven but trust me IM A BASEBALL FAN I KNOW A LOT I even have a $300 signed Mickey mantle pic and a lot of baseballs that have stadiums on them and so trust me I know a lot but 6 year olds are still a little short on baseball smartness sometimes so yea but to come to the point this game is great ( name is J dub if u want to friend me) peace

Glu is greatly missed
This series was fun for years under Glu. Once EA took the reigns, this became like every other game EA puts out on mobile or console…a cash grab. Basically, you’re gonna have to pay real money to truly advance in this game. If you don’t spend money to advance your team and ranking, your clubs will just drop you. To keep up, you’ll need to spend a minimum of $10-$20 every single week. This is the EA model. They get rich off of micro-transactions in all of their games. They focus more on how to make an extra dollar than they do about the game itself.
To make it worse, the game is now down and has been for days and days. We have gotten no response from EA. They could at least put out a notice on their socials to update the users, but they won’t. Yet they’ll still expect you to download the 2024 game soon so they can cash in on those micro-transactions every week from you. It’s truly amazing how far EA has fallen as a company over the past decade and a half.

Should Rename App ‘Crap’ Baseball
I’ve been playing this game for years, having enjoyed it and participating on teams when Glu owned it. Since EA took it over, the game performance is pathetic. Choppiness, frequent disconnects from the game necessitating an app restart, sometimes losing game progress, and constantly spinning circles with delays as much as 30 seconds before a new game loads. The ads are ridiculous! Way more than when Glu owned the app, with up to 1 ad every 5 minutes, disrupting a series of games. Trying to dismiss the 60 - 90 second ad requires literally 4 - 5 clicks to get through the screens and get back to your game. And the same ads over and over. I’ve become so frustrated that I’ve actually quit playing the game some days. The only reason I play is loyalty to my team as the leader. Many players have abandoned this app - and we’ll come back to it if changes and improvements are made…

Should lust this as total pay to play
The only way to be competitive in this game is to auto-tap to amass large amounts of gold or have thousands of dollars to spend on game per week. The odds of pulling top players is so minuscule. Not everyone can afford to do this nor wants to autotap (where’s the fun). Last year they had a way to obtain top players by being on a top performing team. They’ve taken that option away now for All Time Great players. Essentially they’ve created uneven playing field. The game will crash and be down for periods of time. Customer support might as well not exist. Their response for issues is, ‘sorry I can’t help you however we appreciate comments and will pass them on. Might as well have saved your time and not reached out to them. I don’t begrudge EA from making money as our capitalist society is part of what makes us great. This game takes it to the extreme. The game itself is a lot of fun and addictive. The only way to get better is to get better players..to do this; you have to spend and/or autotap.

Not able to add ATG Players from 2022
Generally a good game, but in seasons past I could start a new season with ANY 2 batters and 1 pitcher from the previous season. Since I started playing several seasons ago, I have always had Rogers Hornsby, and recently got Jackie Robinson and pitcher Walter Johnson. As part of my game progression I thought it was proper to bring whichever “seed” players I wanted to the new season. In 2023, All-Time Great players, such as the three I listed, could not be brought over. To lose my three core players and inhibit player progress made me lose interest. Allow us to pick whomever we want for building a team roster and I might start again, but otherwise too much time is spent building a team with no ability to bring the very best players to the next season is a waste of time. A good game, now marred.

Real review
Many things need worked on such as how fast the outfielders run or where there at it just feels like they know where the balls gonna go before you hit and it dosnt feel like the pwr levels or upgrades do anything it feels the exact same you might get an easier hr off a 130 rather then a 70 or lower but it’s still all the same, and when I hit it in the outfield and know I can go 3rd I should be able to but work on how fast they throw the ball first bc then theres not even a chance to make it to 3rd that’s how fast they throw the ball and last things it’s honestly so annoying when the pitcher throws the ball way over your head or throws it directly at the ground 3 times back to back still a fun game but a lot of things need worked on if you want it to be perfect and fun I don’t care graphics or how characters look just care if it’s a fun game best part is no ads that’s not a good thing (keep no ads I love it).

Somehow Worse Than The Last
It’s is exactly the same as the past 4-5 years of this game. I’ve played 2 previous versions of this game (19 & 22) and they were really boring after about 2 months. I will give credit that the game runs a lot smoother than the previous years, but it still does get annoying when it lags in the middle of a pitch. The main problem I have with it is that you’ll hit a supposedly pop fly, but when you see the player; it looks like they are no where near catching it. However, they gain super speed and still “catch it.” I say it like that because it looks like the ball teleports from a good yard from the guy to being in his glove. Honestly, if you fix the gameplay graphics; this would be a pretty fire game. Oh wait…it’s EA they won’t fix that!

Terrible gameplay
My main issue with this game is that the gameplay is utterly awful, I mean terrible batting timing, you can barely get any decent hits at best, every great you get your automatically out which completely unfair to the user player, you make it feel like the cpu player is cheating, on very rare occasions the in/out fielders don’t catch the ball, and some of the hits the ball is out of reach for the outfielders to catch but somehow they make they’re way over to catch an uncatchable ball. Not to mention the pitching from the cpu player is terrible, can’t tell the ball if the ball is going to be a strike or a ball until the last minute. You developers should know better and do a better job with game and fix these issue and make it better playable. I don’t recommend anyone downloading this game waste of my time getting this. SHAME!!!!!!!!!!

Entertaining game that needs improvement
Been following this series for several years now and there doesn’t seem to be too much additions with each new release. Game has some glitches with outfielders running for the ball where it just magically appears in their glove even though the ball was much farther than their glove. Also outfielders randomly have crazy speed to get to a ball. It seems it takes forever for your batter to get to first base regardless of the players speed. Also would love some more camera angles can’t really read where the pitch is going with the angle of the batter as it is. Clear balls look like strikes from the angle but you find out too late that the ball was actually in the dirt or falls short of the plate.
They have great team management option and can even improve and train players which is cool also has plenty of mini games to keep it entertaining.

This game is annoying.
This game is amazing but I hate that you have to spend 4 gold bars in the global chat just to talk with them. If it wasn’t like that, I would’ve rated this game 5 stars. Please make it that you get to chat with them for free. It’s really annoying. Btw it’s annoying when the fathers have speed like sonic and catch the ball. It’s really annoying. Even the people trying to get them out touch the base and not the player. It’s annoying. Can you guys fix this. I have decided to give this 2 stars. I like but these bugs need to be fixed. Challenging
I’ve been playing this game for a few months now and it’s a lot of fun. Usually you play a game a few times and then you move on it maybe you play it a few more times and then you move on. This game I found myself sticking around even after a few months of playing so that should tell you something. Its progressive so he players keep evolving and the team you play with gets better and better. Overall I’m pleased with the idea of playing baseball like this and look forward to continuing to play. Frequent “issues”
Don’t get me wrong, the game is fun. There have been new game modes implemented, often with very frequent glitches. They do NOT do regular updates, or add more levels or stages to the new modes they start. So I’ll give some credit for trying. There are lots of repeat players. People still figure how to cheat to score crazy points. You can be competitive without spending, but you have to play a TON. Customer service is incredibly frustrating. Lots of brainless, common responses to issues with no real effort to solve anything. I’m currently jailed, for no reason at all, with no help whatsoever from customer service. I actually get the feeling they’re avoiding helping solve the issue. I’ve played numerous versions, over many years. This happens EVERY year for NO reason, with no help solving anything, with no apology for it even happening. Super frustrated about that.

Smoke in mirrors.
Overall this version of the game has some improvements over years past. However it still has lagging issues and while they tout the journeys as a new awesome thing. It’s pretty much dead already. You can’t autoplay threw it either once u beat it. The new company ea is even more greedy than glu was. Pxp and lxp must be purchased. Unless you save for a long time and or buy all the field passes. Too many bonus players every day and too many repeat players while ignoring others. This game has always had potential. But laziness with programming and creativity make for a lackluster experience.

Good not great
I’ve played the last 4 installments of Tap Baseball on iOS. This is very similar to its predecessors in many ways, but not all. The free to play aspect which I usually utilize is drastically nerfed with this addition! I am forced to spend at least 1$ to get rid of the game crashing adds. They are after every game as well and without payment made the game almost unplayable to compete even in the slightest. I am finding myself spending money every week to even come close to the level of competition I was able to achieve in previous additions. This version seems like one of the biggest money grabs I have ever seen. The gameplay and club participation is the same as always, but the money aspect really ruins this game for me. Without spending 35-50$ a week don’t expect to be competitive at all!!

Terrible customer service
For the last 3 months I have been locked out of baseball 23. They have said they have been working on the problem but won’t tell what the problem is. I have been playing this game for 10 years with no problem until EA bought the game from glu. When I tried to sync the 22 account to my 23 account the 22 account froze. I notified customer service of the problem so I could get the keepers and my VIP status. When I did that my 23 account froze and both of them have like that for 3 months. I have had over 25 customer service representatives try and help me and they all want me to do the same thing. They don’t communicate with each other so I have to explain to each one what is going on. I have to send screenshots that they have already of my team and one of the reps said he couldn’t find the club I was on and I had to send a screenshot of the club name. At this point the keepers are useless but my VIP status isn’t. I spent a lot of money to get that and you would think they would be able to give me that. They won’t even address the frozen accounts. This is no way to run a business.

Love it but a few issues
I love this game in all but their are some things that make my love go down for it.
First of all in the tutorial it thought me how to pitch but yet after the tutorial ended and I started playing games I noticed it never let me pitch in games.
Secondly what is going on with these catchers! I hit the ball super far and these catchers come out of nowhere and catch the ball and this happens over and over again and it starts getting really annoying
Lastly my runners are slow like when I hit it far and they get the ball and throw it too second my runners are literally half way through their run and the annoying thing about that is I’ve upgraded my players like 20 times.

Incompetent
High hopes were had when EA took over this game. Unfortunately, it’s been nothing short of a money grabbing disaster. More network errors and downtime so far this year than all other years I’ve played. I get EA is here to make money, but at least put out a quality product. Don’t make a “free game” a “pay to win game” the way you have. From increasing box guarantees to reducing what you get when you actually buy something, it’s apparent they only cater to those that spend larger amounts. I’ve spent, I’m a VIP, but this is a slap in the face. You can’t perform well enough to compete without dropping cash on a daily basis. Y’all make Glu look like they had their s#|t together.

What a joke this app is !!! The development team are clueless and should not have anything to do with baseball!!! At least once an event this app has problems and mostly multiple times an event !! With that and the wrong players in the event to use it’s ok . I’ve been playing this app since 2016 and this year is by far the worst experience ever!!! The manipulation of the algorithm on each event is disgusting to this company’s greed . Parents keep this app way from your children because it will cost you a same fortune to complete. I still don’t understand how it’s 4.8 stars !!! Read all reviews and when glu/ Ea post them . What a joke to the game of baseball, stick to the kardashions glu/ Ea

It is so awesome. I wish I could have another game like this and it is so cool and you should play it and I realized it is so fun but you don’t get to be a picture you can just bat to do your stuff so it is so fun because it’s the best game we won.
