Does what it says on the tin
An excellent way to train your ear to recognise intervals and chords. In a perfect world it would learn your frequent mistakes and guide you to a way to overcome these by repeating the related tests.
Ear Trainer Lite
I liked this app so after trying the light version I purchased the full version but I was unable to download it and the developers do not answer their messages, seems to be inactive. I received a full refund from apple.
Intervals!
I have improved my sight-reading significantly in a short time using Ear Trainer. The only criticism I have is that, if I donβt have a passing score on an exercise, there is a suggestion that I repeat it. So Iβve done one exercise four times without improvement. I donβt know what to do.
So good
So so good
Ear trainer lite.
Really good, but by choosing random keys this program tends to become confusing and misses a simple opportunity. Like the vast majority of music heads, without perfect pitch, I know I will (most likely) never have perfect pitch. If the exercises could be re-jigged to use middle C as the root I personally feel that this program would be at a level to achieve its primary objectives but in a context which would go further in fulfilling the aspirations and learning desires of those of use drawn to committing to spend good money to go further.
