Earnly: Gig Driver Mileage

This update is about trusting the numbers. • The right IRS rate, by date. The IRS raised the business mileage rate on July 1, 2026. Earnly applies the rate that matches each shift's date, and shifts you already recorded keep the rate they were recorded with. • Clearer protection when starting a shift. If Low Power Mode is on, Earnly explains why tracking cannot start instead of creating a shift that cannot record miles. • The "Always" location prompt now appears. Some drivers never saw it, which left background tracking off with nothing on screen to explain why. • Personal miles hold together. Brief stops no longer split one drive into several trips, and your miles stay put when you turn part of a trip into work. • Better mileage continuity after short interruptions. Earnly preserves the previous GPS reference when resuming an active shift if the gap is short enough to use reliably. • Widget fixes. Edits and deletions now reach the widget, an unfinished shift is shown instead of hidden, dates read in Spanish, and the mileage it shows is rounded the same way the app rounds it. • Siri stopped overpromising. It no longer says your shift started when something prevented it. • Amounts you type are checked before they're saved, and the gas price field now commits the number you actually typed instead of whatever it last held. • The expense comparison explains itself. It now says what it can and can't tell you about standard mileage versus actual expenses. • A failed data store no longer ends the launch. If the store can't open, Earnly offers a retry and a backup-and-reset path instead of closing. • More of the app speaks Spanish, and stations can finally be deleted.
