eBay Live notifications being spammed
Never used eBay live. Cant unfollow or disable the in app notifications when random people sellers are on “eBay live”. Odd design choice.
👎 Terrible new search feature
What genius at eBay, to justify his/her own existence at the company, decided to bring the search box from the top to the bottom?! Were customers screaming for this change? It hits the eye all wrong…I’m typing on the bottom but results are streaming at the top. It’s a mess, unnecessary. Why??????

Garbage update
Filters out a lot of results, where most sponsored things appear at the top. It’s such a nuisance.
Notifications
This is ridiculous in a matter of less than one hour. I had five push notifications, reminding me that I have stuff in my cart and if I’d like to pay for it to please pay now and then I just get off the phone with customer service and they tell me that the only thing they can do is turn off all the notifications so now I am stuck with on average 120 push notifications reminding me that I got stuff in my cart. Top tier service. I’m glad you guys think that your customers are too stupid to remember in a matter of 11 minutes of my last notification and I need a reminder to pay for it….on average every 12 minutes…..God forbid someone is trying to wait for other bids to combine shipping.

Does not support sellers
I have been a seller for a decade at this point and now it’s time to quit eBay. Over the years it’s gotten worse where they don’t seem to care about problems and side with buyers each time. I.e.
-you can only give positive feedback to buyers (negative and neutral is no longer and option).
-if the buyer says there is a problem with an item your choices are 1. Allow the return (even if no return is allowed) or 2. Refund them. I had a guy buy a leather jacket and it sat on his porch in Texas in the box for 3 weeks and was faded a bit from the sun. I was forced to refund him.
-They use AI for appeals. I had a few items delayed in 2024 following a tornado that hit fedex in Kalamazoo Michigan. AI denied my appeal saying a tornado destroying the FedEx hub was not a listed reason for FedEx to have delayed items and my store was given bad feedback.

Banned for no reason
I literally got banned for no reason whatsoever and this all happened when I was upgrading from my iphone 14 on iOS 18.7.8 to iphone 16 pro max with iOS 26.5.2 and all of a sudden I get suspended???? What did I even do to deserve this?? Horrible experience.
horrible app for sellers
horrible customer support stupid app wont let me receive my payout because everytime i go to update my account information it endlessly loads into nothing. i went to call ebay support and got a stupid ai who dosent know how to help i asked for help and it instead sent a link straight back tk exactly what my problem is. the buyer already received the product but now i cant get payed

So much AI Slop Advertised
I get it, eBay wants to promote live auctions on the main page, in notifications, and at the bottom of every product listing.
But it’s so annoying that every single live auction uses cheap AI images for advertising.
You can’t hide them, and the app constantly sends push notifications for them, which you can’t turn off.

No phone support when you run into problems.
Why there is no phone support, lots of scammers are on ebay now a days. Lots fake good are being sold on their platform, with zero accountability. Ebay is taking sides of scammers and will remove negative feedback to help scammers. What a shame. Buyers has to suffers with bad sellers. Buyers can’t do anything no support whatsoever. You will be going in loops when you need help after spending money. It is becoming a heaven for scammers.

Horrible customer support
Got account restricted because my home address did not match my ID as I just moved and was told my account is permanently restricted with no appeals.
Customer Service Sucks
For sellers they don’t have your back. The return process is terrible and so is the customer service. They allow buyers to misuse the return process.

Account suspended banned
My account was suspended and banned because a seller made false statements because the radio i bought lithium iron battery had cracked open ,I couldn’t return then I get the message account suspended, sad for buyers $$$$ for bad sellers post share on all platforms, it can happen to you sad but I don’t need them

I hate eBay Live
I absolutely regret updating the app. Now eBay Live is more in my face and more obnoxious. Can we please have options to customize the front page? Other than that affront to my eyes, the app is pretty good.
The search filters are probably the best from all the major store apps.
The refurbished deals are great because of the 1-2 year warranty. Hopefully they actually honor the warranty when I need it.
