Echo has become an essential tool for me, providing a platform to express and organize my thoughts and ideas. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and private way to manage their insights, or as a personal assistant in their daily life.
Good for automatically organizing and connecting different thoughts
I've been using the similar "Voicenotes" app more than Echo until recently, but Echo does a good job with the AI connections between notes, and suggestions for further thinking.
FEATURE REQUEST: Import markdown notes from other apps or note sources. This would enable me to consider a full switch from Voicenotes.

What is the point
So I was referred to this by a family member who heard of it. God knows how they heard of this. I got this assuming it had more capacity to handle long audio recordings. This app only allows for 10 minutes of audio and then stops. I was shocked. Especially at $59.99 a year, no thanks! Minutes Ai records as long as l need and then transcribes in minutes with notes and tools. This is for like self recordings for note on short ideas or something. Not for recording highlights or minutes from vital meetings or anything useful in my work life.

We're not familiar with Minutes AI, but it is true that there are many great tools for recording meetings. We hope you find what you're looking for. While your website states that user data is private, protected and encrypted, and that our input will not be used to train AI, your terms of service convey a different message. They explicitly indicate that you can utilize any of my input or output as you wish, including selling it or using it for promotional purposes without my consent. This raises an important question: Is my data truly private and exclusively mine, or do you also claim ownership over it? I believe that all current and future app users deserve clarity on this issue.

And thank you for pointing out that our Terms of Service could use simpler language, because we absolutely want it clear that we do not have the right to use your data however we wish. We use your data to improve the app, and by "data" we mean things like logging in, performing an action, hitting an error (rare, but when that does happen we need some data to fix it). Your actual notes are encrypted and not available to us for selling or using in promotional materials. You're right that our Terms of Service could say this in simpler terms. I use transcription every day to capture and clean up voice notes and Echo does that really well without overdoing it.
There are plenty of overpriced alternatives out there which produce ghastly AI bulleted summaries while introducing their own inaccuracies. Echo is different and I can’t fault it. As a non profit based user I appreciate the quality without the heavy subscription.
And I appreciate the ongoing development with a responsive developer interested in user’s experiences and suggestions.
I also make use of the Apple Watch complication which works smoothly for me — invaluable for quick insights that come while I am out and about.

Great app, keep deleting notes accidentally
Maybe make the delete button a bit less prominent or ask for confirmation before deleting. Awesome app, thanks so much.
Exceptionally handy!
Ability to synthesis and distil thoughts effectively. Able to understand nuance. Very helpful to capture thoughts when on the go and ideas pop into your mind.

I enjoy how simple and easy to use it is. It’s a helpful place to capture ideas and thoughts that come to you and then be able to have it vote in audio and written form.
A great help to writers
Echo is very useful as a resource to aid memory and to classify and order thoughts. The way that it reviews what has been said, analyses and structures thoughts into related sections is very helpful.

So far it’s great!
Just started using this app for note taking and have found its transcriptions very accurate. And asking the AI info about the notes has yielded some wonderful insights. So many potential use cases!! Although it occasionally leaves out important details (left a complete day out of a recap I asked it to create). One ask, though, is to be able to be able to manually change the date/time of an entry, which would help the AI to accurately determine when an event took place. If you say ‘yesterday I did something’, it sometimes won’t recognize the correct timing.

More than notetaking
Been steadily using Echo the last few months and am hooked. I use it to keep track of what I learn in my martial arts classes and the way it automatically organizes and then creates long form content based on my voice notes is magic. The value of using it is growing day by day and I can’t wait to see what it looks like in six months.

Amazing at capturing my thoughts
Echo has been awesome for me to get my ideas down when a ton of things come flooding into my brain. I often leave work trying to think of all of the things I need to get done later in that day and using this app I can get those down so much more quickly. When I sit down to get my tasks done, I query echo to understand all of the things I need to do. It’s awesome and I recommend everyone give it a try because it’s so simple

ESSENTIAL for small business owners
I operate all aspects of my small business and there’s only so much I can remember myself. I wish I were a pen to paper person but the convenience of having my notes and thoughts at all times is unparalleled in this day and age.
I appreciate echo because it’s user interface is very simple, so much so that my mother who also has a small business is able to navigate the app without much thought.
This app has truly bridged a gap that was needed in the note taking + AI space. I love using the “notes app” on my iPhone but often find I’m scrolling and scrolling until I find what I’m actually looking for. Having a virtual assistant of sorts has been game changing in retrieving my information efficiently and quickly, both things that I rely on in my hectic everyday life. I think this app is something everyone can benefit from in many regards, but from one small business owner to the next, it’s a necessity for me.

Must have for any business owner
This app is truly a godsend for any small business owner who is juggling all the small hats of running a business, and doesn’t have time to write everything down. This is the handiest way to keep all my important details in one place, but the app helps me retrieve all of the info without having to search through my notes. Staggeringly good
I have written a number of nonfiction books and always have ideas for new ones. I am having such fun using this app to log my ideas. I love the 5-minute limit for each note I dictate; I love the very clever tags it applies to each note and the way it keeps a tally so I can see clearly that I have 6 notes on one specific subject; and I love that I can export any note as a .txt file. Quite superb.
