HR not updating
Recently I noticed that on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 the heart rate stays constant. It did not change I bps the entire 45 minutes. I assume this is a bug???

Does not work as promised
I needed a way to connect my Apple Watch with my Nordic Track treadmill and iFIT app. Does not work 98% of the time. Customer service does not respond and Apple will not refund!

After recent update (Apr. 2026)
I have to set the app up every time I launch a new workout. This is a real pain. And also every time I launch the app, I have to click through a message that tells me in-app purchases are not permitted. Also a pain.

Bugs appear to be fixed
Back to loving the app after the bugs were fixed from the 6.0 release.

Annoying startup screen
Love the app but the latest version has a startup sequence that requires going through multiple setup screens before using the app. Ok to do that once but not every time! I guess this is a bug. Please fix.

App updated but won’t save configuration
After update the app has to be setup every time you open it. Useless!
Latest version is buggy
Latest version needs work. Zones do not sync between watch and phone. Most annoyingly, every time I open the app I have to go through all of the equipment selection screens again. The old version I could just open and hit ‘start’.
Very disappointed with update!
The elapsed time in exercise is gone! I loved that part and would like to see it back. Then this app would again be a 10!

Works great!
I use this with my C2 rower and EXR app and it works great. Since I use EXR for syncing the workouts to Apple Health I don’t need Echo to do that so have the Sync Workouts turned off. However I was having an issue with Echo still reporting workouts from time to time. Echo support was great in helping me solve the problem - basically Echo will sync workouts if the app is force quit (actually makes sense tbh) so all I had to do was just stop the Echo app when I was done before quitting it. Problem solved. App is great and saved me unnecessary expense buying a HR strap to use with EXR when I already have an Apple Watch.

Before Echo I would have had to buy an expensive Garmin watch or IFIT heart

Reliability issues
Works well some of the time - but frequently stops sending updates to the workout bike, and I have to pause and restart the workout in the app to get it unstuck. This is especially common if I try to multitask on the phone, at which point the added convenience is small. I stopped using and got a chest strap monitor

Meta quest XRWORKOUT
This is the best app out there to connect VR devices to support heart sensors. I use the meta quest via Apple Watch and this works perfectly— my advice upgrade to pro it’s worth it.
Not on Precor
Didn’t work on the hotel’s Precor treadmill or elliptical. Displayed HR on phone just fine. Neither watch nor phone connected. Equipment did have a lit green rfid symbol.
