Great service but why are you auto renewing an annual subscription and not giving me the option to refund it even though I haven’t used the service for the last 11 months

The app/software doesn’t work. Three times I’ve locked my bike up and it doesn’t register as the ride is finished, even though it’s locked in. I can’t remove the bike, I can’t lock it up, and it just sits there running up my bill. Customer service doesn’t respond. This is a scam.

Faulty app - overcharged for hours
Bike stands constantly have issues with checking out bikes. I also checked a bike in but apparently it wasn’t fully docked so I got charged for hours afterwards and customer service was not helpful.

Facilite les visites de quartiers pour moi comme touriste, on peut voir plus de rues. Toutefois il n’y a pas toujours de points pour remettre le vélo là où je voulais visiter un site. J’ai donc marché plus que je voulais.

I visited CDMX a couple years ago and the app worked fine. Now I’m back and it won’t take any of my credit cards. Doesn’t have Apple Pay. Each rider needs their own app / device. It needs to verify your identity and asks for address.

DO NOT USE THIS APP OR ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!! Ecobici has purposely made it impossible to remove your credit card or cancel your account. They will charge you annually for eternity. The ecobici.mx domain blocks access outside of Mexico so once you go home they will have permanently trapped your info. Attn AppStore, app should be removed for violating terms and conditions

Rubbish app
Great when it works but my partner tried to register multiple cards with the app and none worked. Customer service is useless, they haven’t got a clue.

EcoBici es una buena opción de transporte para lugares cercanos. El mapa que ofrece el app ayuda encontrar una bici. Las bicis no son muy cómodas pero en lo que cabe funcionan bien para un uso de menos de media hora. Me la mucho gusto que existen como una opción de trasporte.

Wasted an hour trying to make the payment
The app accepted payment from my partner via his android, and there was no way to make payment for me, either from his phone or my iPhone. We tried 3 different accounts with different email addresses and 3 bank cards, no way to figure it out. Wasted time and money as he won’t use it anymore. Service agents are AI bots that don’t help at all.

Great if you can get it!
My partner was able to get his 3 day pass on his phone. Mine just would not work. I had to go to the Ecobici kiosk. After about an hour, the guy had to use his own email address for me to get the pass. However, once it works, it’s fantastic. There are loads of docking stations across the city. Maximum ride is 45mins. But if you ride for 40 then dock, wait 2 minutes, then start over, you can ride all day. We rode from Polanco to Coyoacán to the Frida Khalo museum. We just kept docking the bikes along the way.
