“AI” and “Eco” and opposites
Your target demographic is literally the exact people who hate AI and will be leaving your platform as soon as an ai free alternative becomes available. Saying it’s there to “stay competitive” is a foolish sentiment. And no, your AI is not “green”, that word means nothing. ChatGPT could say its AI is “green”. That’s like saying “yeah, no, we’re still doing the terrible thing, just not as bad! Other people are more terrible!” Besides this, I enjoy the browser, but it begins to feel like a marketing scheme instead of actual care for the environment when you start doing and bragging about this stuff. Your consumers do not want this AI. Your refusal to listen is frustrating.

A reverse image search option would be helpful
Google is one of the only browsers that has a reverse image search, Ecosia as far as I know does not have a feature like that and makes it harder for people to justify switching to Ecosia if they are reliant on the reverse image search for a lot of their searches

Doing it for the trees
I love the planting trees while I search part which is why I suffer through this app. Can you tell me why with the latest update where you assume the enter to search button would be, there is a QR scan code instead. Why??? 😩

Search stopped working for me. It just sends me to a cloudflare "verify you're human" loop that doesn't let me see the results. I tried all the troubleshooting tips from the cloudflare page and none of them worked.

Great with Flaws
Love Ecosia and their mission. However, the app frequently freezes on startup and has odd behaviors when moving around quickly.
The app is best suited for casual browsing and not quick investigations or intense ad hoc research.

Can’t search
I love this app and have been using it for awhile on both my phone and iPad, but a few days ago on my iPad it got stuck on a never ending cycle saying I’m a bot, I can’t search anything up, pls fix this
New Ecosia Bug
I’ve been using this browser for 2+ years, and it’s honestly amazing. Recently though, I can’t search anything up because it’s blocked by the Ecosia Firewall. It does the cloud verification thing to see whether you are a bot or not and it just…. doesn’t work. I can still type in direct URLs (e.g Google.com) but I can’t search anything up. Is anyone else experiencing this???

Please fix this
I recently got the app and whenever I try to search something, it says ‘confirm your not a robot’ so I click confirm but nothing changes and after a couple seconds the button just comes back. I wish it could be better.

Hate AI , love Ecosia
Good search engine, love that ai can be turned off - google is evil and has made searching feel like a dead end forcing ai overviews on everything. I like exploring on the internet, I feel like I can finally do that again on Ecosia.

So I recently downloaded this app. It's amazing, eco friendly and has somewhat good reviews. It's worked perfectly on my computer but not on my ipad. I use my ipad a lot and whenever I try to search something on my iPad using Ecosia, it gives me a firewall. No matter how many times I click the verify button, it doesn't work and restarts, causing me to click the button over and over again. I'M NOT A ROBOT I SWEAR😔🥀😭

Cloudflare Issues
While I use Ecosia for searches, I have shifted to using it while using a browser. If I do the same search from the browser using Ecosia, I get results. If I use the app, it just loops with Cloudfare. So I recommend that you skip the App!
Good but a captcha problem
I used it, but the captcha is so hard and it loads every time I search something and when I try to do it, it does not work, so please fix this. (That’s why I got a 3 starts rating)

Using the app feels a little worse than on both desktop and phone. Kinda wish it was designed more like the desktop version. Otherwise, its my favorite search engine

I love Ecosia! It is my preferred internet browser. Why support confusing and frustrating google and safari, if you could have a user friendly browser that is providing to the environment!
AI and ads not great
I’m mostly happy with Ecosia for its environmental initiative, but I’m not thrilled about the use of AI in the search engine - and not even displaying in my language. I moved from Google in the hopes of not having AI. Also, I understand that paid ads help Ecosia, but it’s been weeks that every webpage I visit is littered with video GIFs of some golden elixir being poured onto a big toe with an overgrown nail…. Yay.

Not a single tree
Even with no one wanting ai, it still is on the browser; and it still is preventing environmental progress. Any tree that is planted will die because of ai, progress could be made if they just remove it.
