Bricked my phone

As soon as installed this app, it effectively bricked my phone. I was no longer to connect to Apple Music or Apple App Store. Gmail wouldn’t load, despite showing that I had new emails. As soon as I uninstalled the app, all my connectivity was restored.

Awful

Block’s safari, blocks find a friend, and cannot turn the security off because the app doesn’t allow you to access it. Takes forever to load other apps.

Provides some security, removes others

This does provide some security, although the licensing is confusing. A 15 device security package is still only for one person, particularly around dark web monitoring. I can’t, for example, set up monitoring for my wife and children’s papers, just mine.

While it provides some device safety, it removes others such as iCloud private relay. It’ll happily tell me I’m on an unsecured network - I know, but don’t have much choice - and then disable a tool that helps keep me safe on that network.

Works great

It works great and I feel completely protected! It’s super handy being able to pay through my EE bill and the features are great

High Battery Usage!

App is okay, but it has considerable high battery usage compared to similar apps - very high battery usage has to remove

EE failed to respond

It’s frustrating that the interface for protection report doesn’t actually list the ‘Risky Networks’, malicious websites or most importantly what are the specific device security detected, because that would help mitigate against this flagged risk.

I did reach out to EE but have got zero response

Cybersecurity

I recently decided to try EE cybersecurity as was having major issues with Bitdefender especially with their web protection which caused me big problems with different apps. Yes setting up the cybersecurity can be bit fiddly at first as with most security suites but once it’s all sorted it’s great to go without the worry having to auto renew with bigger payments. But with EE I like the idea of paying monthly through my bill and knowing that me and my family are protected from scammers and dark web notifications if any private information has been leaked allowing me to act very quickly to prevent fraud. The web protection is very good does everything it says on the tin

Good concept and pricing, need urgent improvements

The app is good for the price you’re paying, most of the time it does the job but at the moment is a major battery hog. Also a spam call ID/blocker would be a very nice addition since the app already has an junk SMS detector.

Don’t subscribe to the 15 device add on

Thought this was a good idea, particularly as there are 3 phones, two tablets and two laptops in the house. So subscribed to the 15 device option. Installed on my phone and configured easily. Time to allocate a licence to my wife’s phone. Installed okay, but then needs to login. But… if she tries to log in, she’s not recognised. If I log into her phone, it gets populated with all the info I’m protecting. That’s bad enough in itself. Add to that of having to log myself into every device and it quickly becomes tedious, unsafe and poor practice. So, to the ee website. Help says to call 150. Contact there has no idea. I have to contact Norton. Sends me a link which just takes me to the support page for Norton products. Nothing specific to ee cyber security. So, search the Norton support site - after switching country to Europe, UK. Nothing. It’s like they’ve never heard of ee. A Google of the issue show other people with the same problem and getting equally as little help. Went into an ee store and their people there were unable to help either. So, even though I subscribed online, I’m not able to cancel the subscription immediately. I unsubscribed anyway but I’m stuck with it until the next bill date. This is really poor from ee. Don’t release a service if you can’t support it. Heck, don’t release a service if you know absolutely nothing about it! £5 wasted, but live and learn. It doesn’t end there though. Considered taking out two x two device subscriptions. But that wouldn’t work either as both phones are on the same contract. So the login issue would still be there. If you only have your own phone and another device in your name, then this is worth considering. Otherwise, avoid. Final point, which isn’t a complaint but a thought. If you use this app to the full, you’re giving all your sensitive data to Norton. What if Norton gets hacked?

"EE's £2 Offer: Seriously Disappointing!"

Well, well, well, EE, seriously? This is what you offer for £2? Frankly, it’s a bit underwhelming, don’t you think? Disappointing doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Battery Leech

While the app is really good, I don’t understand why now for the last 3 months this app has been such a leech on my battery. Over 63% battery usage in the background! It should not need to consume that much power to protect my phone.

Crashes//Won't Open - Macbook 2023

Just opens and crashes on the new Macbook Pro 2023.

No easy way to report to EE either

Server error etc.

09/11 - Unable to log in due to Server error! 🤦🏻‍♂️

A few days ago I logged in ok but I was unable to complete the ID Theft Protection. 🤦🏻‍♂️

If the above continues I will look elsewhere.

Very important safety for your iPhone

I brought this for my iPhone as I had been scammed & I wish this was with every EE Sim Card or phone contract as it just gives you more security especially as well as piece of mind.

Rubbish

Won’t even let you register for an account even though all the personal details have a green tick

Security Norton

Rubbish anti theft doesn’t work 😡😡

ID Theft Protection not monitoring

Works intermittently but most of the time it’s not monitoring The ID Theft Protection-shows Sevice Unavailable. Also not able to get assistance from EE or Norton

ID theft never works

Consistent non service with a help system which is complicated

Norton

Downloaded this and paid for really cheap and good to keep phone all secure and up to do. Love the part to check emails be in dark web as well. Well done EE for keeping customers safe!
