won’t be accepted for ID

(EDIT-thanks for getting back to me. Though when I went through your FAQ looking for accepted places for ID it did not tell me to look back in the app as per your link. It just gave a list of organisations presented to. Unfortunately I’ve already deleted the app now)
So your faq states you have “PRESENTED “ the app to the met police and other UK organisations and various operations titled. So why haven’t these organisations accepted Yoti as a valid proof of ID? Also your chat bot says it’s up to business to advertise if they accept Yoti or not. So what’s the use in me keeping this app for ID? if you can’t even publicly list who accepts it or not!

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for leaving. areview. It’s up to the retailer's discretion whether they choose to accept any ID. But if you have the app, just tap on 'Explore' (along the bottom) there's a list of places you can use Yoti online and in-person there. If you're not on the app yet, check out https://www.yoti.com/where-to-use-yoti/ . We're working on increasing our acceptance scope. Hopefully we'll have good news for you and all our users soon. Take care!

Trouble Free Will Be Useful

East to set up and will be useful. Long term security issues as always but will take the leap of faith.

FAQ

What is Yoti?

Yoti is a secure digital identity app that allows you to prove who you are to businesses and individuals. It enables you to store and share verified credentials, enhance online account security, and manage your logins with a free password manager. Your personal details are encrypted and protected.

How do I create a Yoti digital ID?

To create your digital ID, you'll first add a phone number and set up a PIN for account protection. Then, you'll scan your face for verification and subsequently scan an approved ID document, such as a passport or driving license, to add your details.

Is Yoti free to use?

The core functionality of Yoti, including creating your digital ID, proving your identity, and using the password manager, is free. The app is supported by in-app purchases and may display advertisements.

What types of ID documents can I use with Yoti?

Yoti accepts government-approved ID documents from over 200 countries, including passports, driving licenses, PASS cards, and national ID cards. These documents are scanned to securely add your verified details to your digital ID.

How does Yoti protect my privacy?

Yoti encrypts your details into unreadable data that only you can unlock with your PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID. The app states it cannot share your details without your permission and does not sell your data to third parties. Businesses are encouraged to request only the necessary information.
