Ekilo: AI Calorie Counter

A doctor built this app to manage his own health. It records what you eat, the balance of your meals, how much you move, and your weight. Everything is built around one goal: making it light enough that you keep doing it. Your app purchase includes a three-day preview of AI analysis from photos and text, plus complete history and charts. It never enrolls you in a subscription and there is no automatic charge. After those three days, logging by picking foods from icons, the last 7 days of history and charts, activity tracking, weight logging, the rabbit companion and meal reminders all stay available. There is no account to create. Your records stay on this device. ■ Tap to log Pick what you ate from a set of icons. Ekilo estimates the calories and the balance of the plate. The point is to get a feel for your daily numbers and turn it into a habit. ■ Meals and movement on one screen Steps, active energy and exercise minutes are read from Apple Health. Open "Details" and they split into walking, running and cycling, each with its own distance and calories. Works with iPhone alone, or together with Apple Watch. ■ Not to eat less — to know where you are The calories you can burn through exercise are smaller than most people expect. Cutting your food sharply instead is not a safe answer. What helps is knowing how much you are actually eating and actually moving. The score is calculated from how far the plate sits from an ideal balance. Eating less does not raise it. Exercising more does not raise it. ■ Made to keep you going A rabbit grows with the number of days you keep recording. It does not respond to your weight or to how much you ate — only to the fact that you kept going. Reminders and a weekly look back help you come back. ■ Browse the past — one-time purchase ("Full History") A non-consumable In-App Purchase unlocks meal history older than 7 days and past navigation in charts. It is not a subscription. AI analysis is not included. ■ Snap it or type it — Ekilo Pro The auto-renewing Ekilo Pro subscription unlocks AI analysis: · Snap: estimate the items, portions and calories from a meal photo, and show the balance of the plate · Type: describe what you ate in plain words and turn it into a log entry Ekilo Pro also includes everything in Full History. Available plans, duration and pricing are shown on the in-app plan screen. ■ About your targets A daily calorie guideline is calculated from your height, weight and age. The sources behind the BMI and target-calorie figures can be opened from inside the app, including the Dietary Reference Intakes published by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. ■ No advertising ■ About your health data Apple Health data is read only — never written, and never sent off your device. Only when you use AI analysis is the meal photo or the text you typed sent to Google Gemini for processing. Photos and text are not stored on the server. ■ Please note Every figure shown is an estimate. It is not a medical diagnosis and not medical instruction. If you have any health concerns, please consult your own physician. Calorie and activity needs vary widely from person to person.
