Good news everyone! This new version of Element X brings you support for gallery messages, so you can finally visualise and preview multiple aggregated media in your timeline. We also added a timeline item to display if there is an active call alongside support for user presence (if your homeserver supports this feature). It also improves stability by fixing a crash that happened when trying to download a media.

Setting calls on self-hosted synapse server can’t be done at all. No guides, nothing, and always the same missing_matrix_rtc_transport. I hate this app

Broken design - deadlock bug

Cant make account or home server changes after initial log in. Some dark patterns where the app remembers details despite deleting the app and reinstalling. So if you change anything you’re literally stuck.

Do NOT download

You for some reason need a VPN to just open the app, all of my antivirus give me multiple warnings (I have 3) I doubt this has any privacy whatsoever. No hate to the devs, I like the app layout, but atleast make a real app. Not trustable.
