What's New in Elevator Field Command
3.8.5
October 8, 2026
Your backups now carry everything. The PDFs attached to each unit go into Export My Data and iCloud Backup, so moving to a new phone leaves nothing behind. Before a restore, the app shows the file's date and what is in it, and warns you if the file came from the other app. Backup files now open straight into the app from Files or Mail. The Field Guide is steadier. Jumping to a section by its number lands on the heading and stays there (a trailing period, as in "Section 8.6.8.15.", works too). Back no longer fights a jump, Contents and bookmark jumps wait for the page to load, bookmarks have their own section, and downloads show their progress. Settings is one tap away from the Elevators tab. The opening animation plays only on first launch and a tap skips it. The tour can't skip the region step, and "Got it" tips stay dismissed once you dismiss them. Also in this version: Photo Cleanup's age buttons only touch service and ticket photos, sample units keep any notes you add to them, Hours and the Dashboard roll over to the new day at midnight, and Help & Support and the privacy policy open the app's own pages.
