Single in the Springs

So many gold digging scammers. Some days I had the same men’s picture with different profiles as matches. Other days there were separate profiles with identical write ups in the bios. Every day I was reporting fake profiles to customer service. While they were quick to remove the scammers, the majority of my matches were not real people. I was initially willing to spend more to discover if perhaps there was a group of men who wished to be more intentional with their dating lifestyles. Instead I spent a lot of money to act as a filtering service for this app for some thing they should be able to do themselves. I got approximately 5 matches a day. Perhaps every other day, one might be an actual human being with sincere intentions. I’m really disappointed and I wish that I could get a refund. As much for my time as my money.

NOT “elite” Worst dating app- EASILY

This is easily the worst dating app I have ever used. It’s very expensive and they don’t let you purchase a month by month subscription you have to pay for the full six months at the beginning before you know how bad it is. I’m not sure if it’s bots or just random people that “Match” with you and then you never hear from them. I don’t believe these are real people. The only people that do respond are scammers that have the exact same paragraph over and over again about “my cousin saw your picture and I’m deleting the app and here’s my email address” blah blah blah. there’s so much information about a person and it’s completely redundant by the time you’re done reading you really don’t know anything about the person. And finally the user interface is horrific. You match with someone and then someone might send you a smiley face or nothing and then there’s these matches that pop up and people are in a different state. It’s bad.

Borderline scam

Beware!!This app is a scam. You pay a ton of money and are given “matches” that aren’t anywhere near your location, and 95% of the people who contacted me where actually catfish accounts. You will also be charge again in six months with no warning and no recourse- but oh you could have canceled that charge within 3 days of the original purchase. The company is dishonest and predatory. That’s just the business side. The app is also unnecessarily complicated. You can’t find customer service. The matches just list a city - you are left guessing if it is a city even within 500 miles of you. There’s little to no information that’s actually helpful in knowing what the person is like. So basically you are choosing people solely on age and looks. How is that better that tinder. And not to mention the obvious fake accounts. But since there’s not much information on each march you are stuck googling photos to see if the person is really just stealing some instagram famous persons photos. Beware.

Please, don’t use this app.

Horrible app! 95% of the female profiles are blatantly fake. Pictures of celebrities and p*** stars with no other profile information. Even the accounts that aren’t obviously fake, end up being a scam. I’ve had the app for 4+ months (because I paid for the premium and can’t get out of it, I tried) and have talked with 3 real people! That’s out of hundreds of “matches” and “likes”. As other reviews have mentioned, the matches aren’t real matches, it’s based on the apps algorithm for what is a good match. Which is even more strange because the app will match you with an account that has absolutely zero information in the bio. Of the 3 real interactions, 1 lives in the same state (2+ hrs away) one was 8+ hrs away in a different state and the 3rd was literally more than half way across the country even though my settings are “within 50 miles”
The apps horrible, lags, shows the same accounts repeatedly, and there seems to be zero effort for screening fake accounts. I swear there’s less than 50 active users so they just let in hoards of scammers to get their numbers up.

Useless!!! Don’t spend a dime!!!

Nothing elite about this site, most profiles are fake or empty (inactive), they use the paid members to allure the non paid users to get them to subscribe. You get matched with free users who can only send useless smiles. Not a single real connection, even a conversation, within 6 months of paid membership. None of the “matches” EVER visited my profile, because they can’t since none of them are paid members. I contacted them thinking that my profile must have technical issues but they “verified” and said everything is ok, just be patient, ease your requirements. Still no matches, not a single contact. They told me to send messages to the matches, I did and none of them replied because they are either fake or free users who have no functionality and cannot reply. Most matches have no photo or one lousy photo and no profile info.
You have better chances of meeting someone on the street. Save your money!!!

I’ve been here for a couple weeks, with no real success. Here’s what generally happens. You have a conversation with someone for quite a longtime and want to believe that they are real. But after they’ve sweet talked you for a week or so and maybe suggested that you are actually going to meet somewhere. Before that meeting takes place they think that you’ve been sucked in sufficiently they ask for you to send money before you have ever met them.

There is no matching involved. You might accidentally meet someone that wants to really get to know you. But the chances are slim at best. Most of these people are out to scam you and try to get you to send them money with a Google play card or with a visa prepaid debit card. So be aware of what you’re probably dealing with. My guess is that at least 8 out of 10 are con artists, probably 9 of 10.

Bait and Switch

Don’t bother. There’s nothing elite about this service or the users. After the 3 day cancellation window the “match” algorithm ignored my preference to date locals and gave me “matches” out of state. Also note, the word match is a misnomer - The folks in the match list are just potential matches but they haven’t selected your profile as one they’re interested in and they probably haven’t even looked at it. Judging by the few “views” of profile (14 in a month), they likely won’t anyway.

I voiced my disappointment and dissatisfaction to customer service and was brushed off saying I was past the 3 day cancellation window. They have no sympathy that their algorithm changed and that they have an inferior product that entices users with misleading promises . I’d hoped they would have refunded 5 months of 6 I paid for, but nope. If you want your earnest efforts to find quality people to be sabotaged then sign up. Otherwise stick to free apps like OKcupid.
There’s absolutely no value add with this app.

Nothing Elite about it

I rarely, if ever write reviews (maybe 1/year) but will if I find an egregious example of something wrong. The site isn’t for Elites singles since the majority of the respondents aren’t (by the site’s definition) in that category. The biggest issue I have is with online scammers. I have been warned by the site almost every week that someone I interacted with was found to be a scammer. Am I happy they warned me about that, yes, but they have to do a better screening process. I’m on another dating site and don’t get nearly as many scammers.

Many of the “matches” are so far away it’s not worth the effort. Also, I discovered that my profile was on another of their sister sites “silver singles”. I wouldn’t have approved a duplication of my profile for any other site let alone one that I have no interest in. It explains a lot why I was getting messages or smiles from octogenarians.

Lastly, there’s nothing elite when the majority of the likes received are from people who’s profile name is a fake text number (with and without pics). You guys should do better especially considering there are cheaper and more realistic alternatives.

Disappointed

Joined for the minimum 3 months as they do not have recurring monthly membership. Very disappointed with fake profiles and not enough matches in my city. Have encountered a few responses only to find out they request your email so that they get “better acquainted”. I didn’t fall for this and warn everyone using this site there are fake profiles where the person is either selling goods or promoting their private porn site. Also encountered profiles where the person tells their happily for ever after story and how they were going to delete their profile and either a coworker or relative read your profile and they would like to chat offline away from this site. Again another scam to get you to pay for their product. This site for the price you pay is definitely not worth it!!! Use Match instead.

During my six months on EliteSingles, I observed some weird happenings. I would get similarly-worded messages from different members, all with some variation on how they were closing down their account but how their sister had looked over their shoulder and now wanted to get in touch with me (?!).
Similarly, a disproportionate number of messages consisted of awkwardly worded English-is-my-second-language type responses…..from people in the Midwest USA (nothing at all whatsoever against anyone who does not speak English fluently… Just a surprising number of unlikely people on EliteSingles who seem to struggle with the language).
I’ll give it two stars because of one decent conversation that embodied how I envisioned a dating app conversation to go. Otherwise, for the reasons listed above, I found the site to be a mess.

Definitely not “Elite”

Signed up for the six month subscription for almost $200. It’s been a few weeks and so far very disappointed! I’ll go back to Match or Bumble which is free. The majority of the people that reach out to me are scammers wanting to take me off-line to correspond which is always a red flag. I reported FOUR in the last two weeks to security and get a basic response back thing saying “thanks for letting us know we want to keep you safe!”The site crashes a lot and logs me out. The “matches” are sometimes almost 5 hours away. Have not had one legitimate conversation in three weeks! I have emailed “customer care” to get a refund but when I reach out they say I need to go through Apple which means they don’t even stand behind their product! do not download this app!

Not worth it!!!

Tried it for a month. Way to expensive, not many matches, most of the people did NOT have photos. The once that that reached out, send a smile, no conversation what’s so over with anyone. The few matches that I was able to fine , I got a very short conversation and that’s it.

I tried deleting my profile the system ‘somehow’ seem to crash, it would not let me delete my profile. Now I cannot get back into my account, password reset does not work, talking to customers is really not an option. The website provides you with a Germany address to send a letter ?!?? What who does that? They keep mention that you can submit a form on line, can’t find it anywhere. Finally found it, now it wants to verify my email again, well somehow I am not getting any of their emails.

Horrible experience, I would never use or recommend this dating app service, and way too expensive. You should not aloe people to create profiles without photos, and you need to verify this accounts are legit !!!

This app is…well…AWFUL!!

The definition of Elite “the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons”. I’m sorry but I’m not experiencing what I was expecting at all and the only reason I’m not giving this app a 1-star review is because it was working a week ago when I signed up. Now it won’t launch at all!!!

I agree with the other reviewers who say the website is more user-friendly. I’d also like to know how they classify their “matches”! I specifically chose NO profiles without photos yet I still get them in my “matches”. I expected only proven professionals but I get some men with high school diplomas — how’s that elite? Being able to pay the membership fee does not equal elite.

No way to contact customer service

I am getting very angry because I am trying to delete my account and auto renewal and then am told that I must speak to a staff person to delete my premium account but there are no phone numbers or ways to contact customer service. They just send you in a circle!!!!

This is not mine but js whAt came up when I tried to send a review. I also do not want my site renewed but don’t
t know how to contact them. I agree they did not match me with anyone that I would go out with except one, and then I could not text him til he texted you back. All I have to say Is tell your bank
to stop payment. Even though the top is not my review I give them a 1 just because we ca ‘t get i. Touch with them. Do not sig. up for this site as you see what we are going through

Forget about the scammers...

Firstly. I don’t easily review anything. So that should tell you something right there. The fact that I’m spending my precious time to write this is an indicator of how “non-elite” this app is. I’ve had it for over six months now. Most of my info is still flashing as “In-review”. Terrible. Most profiles are bots or scammers. You can choose if you want to deal with that. It is a free world after all. I thought Tinder was a bad app...but this one takes the cake. Slow, inaccurate, did I mention scammers?, terrible user interface. No seriously guys. If you not gonna do a job excellently then please don’t bother. Surprised to s by ee that Spark networks are German. Guess German engineering is going down the sh****r as well. Stay away from this app. Oh by the way, there are scammers galore if you have picked up on that yet....what a joke this app is.

Not worth it, they have a lot to fix

As far as first impressions go, this dating app has found a way for me to completely lose trust in a very short amount of time. I signed up and became a premium member only to not have access to any of the features promised. That is false advertising. Before signing up I looked through the sites Q&A to educate myself on what to expect, and there is nothing in writing that prepared me for what I was about to experience. I have requested Apple the refund my money but this is ridiculous. Why is my profile in review but people are able to still view my profile, like it, and send me messages? That makes no sense, I can’t do anything or respond even after becoming a premium member. That is irritating and I am done. There is no way I will wait past my refund period hoping things are resolved.

One of the worst dating apps

I have tried most all of the dating apps - from free to paid memberships. I hadn’t tried Elite Singles yet. Reading over the website it sounded too good to be true. Why? Because it is! A 6 month membership with discount was roughly $90. Not a bad price, so I gave it a shot. I was so disappointed after just a couple of days I requested a refund and closed my account. Why ask me what my preferences are and how important they are to me if you’re not going to follow them? I set specific filters for age, location, etc. It kept matching me with people in other states, 20+ years older than me, etc. Everything I DIDN’T want. There were glitches with the mobile app too. I had to use the online version just to see my matches better. Also, so many profiles showed “in review” including mine. Which limits what you can see. I had such high hopes and was so disappointed. I believe they own Christian mingle, silver singles, and a couple of others which also have similar reviews and issues that I found with this app.

The one positive I can give is that customer service was prompt and polite. They issued my refund and stated it would take 3-5 days. I’m still in that period so haven’t received it yet, but believe I will.

Don’t Download, Save Your Money

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews and thought 3 stars was acceptable to try something out in hope another app would help with my dating pool. I was wrong! And reading the comments below, I’m not alone! This app should be getting zero stars.

First off, trying to find where to cancel/unsubscribe is very difficult. The FAQ mentions contact customer support but does not link customer support so you have to dig through their site.

My story is that one day I woke up to many notifications and found my account was hacked. Whoever hacked me started messaging and liking everyone through my profile (changed location and pictures too) - I don’t see how that’s possible since it took about a week for my own photos to get “approved”.

I was told it’s my fault because my password was compromised so I would not get a refund and EliteSingles is secure so go create another account. I don’t/didn’t want to create another account, I was already not happy with the service already and getting hacked was motivation. To top it off the next day I get a email about there’s a scammer on the app.

I’m going through other reviews right now and it seems I’m not alone in this happening either. Is this entire app just another scam?

So please save your money, don’t download this app.

WARNING! DO NOT PAY FOR PREMIUM OR GET THIS APP

This is a terribly designed app. Setting preferences and filters does nothing. It will still show you and match you with anyone and everyone and allow ANYONE and EVERYONE to contact you and nonstop too shall they chose. People would show up as my matches from different states or hours away. Meanwhile, preferences set to 50 miles. Every single extremely short person was my match, meanwhile I put height was important. It was all a complete joke and waste of money. Within immediately signing up I realized what a mistake I had made thinking there would actually be anything “elite” on there. I contacted support immediately and no response. The desktop version works better than the silly app. Hello it’s 2020. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND A REAL DATING APP THAT WILL AT LEAST HAVE FILTERS/PREFERENCES WORKING CORRECTLY. Too many glitches, don’t waste your time filling out anything you want because it’ll match you with the exact opposite. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! This app is a SCAM!

Terrible App

Where to start? Bottom line: app consistently ignores your preferences. For example, you try and set the parameters you prefer, and the app informs you that if you choose too narrowly, you won’t get enough matches. And then it won’t allow you to save your preferences. I have set age preferences, ethnicity preferences, location preferences, religion preferences, and I get one decent match in 30. The location preferences are particularly ridiculous. I live in a highly urban, populated area. However, I cannot narrow my radius to less than 50 miles away. Well, 50 miles away from where I live could put people about 2 to 3 hours away. I am getting men from neighboring states! That’s ridiculous! Other, more well-designed apps will show people that match my preferences within 5 to 10 miles away. So I know they are out there. But I guess I shouldn’t care, because the men I am being matched with don’t even remotely match my preferences. And the question of whether or not people are highly educated is also in doubt. I have a PhD, and I am being matched with men who have completed trade school. That match is highly unlikely to work, for either of us! Perhaps that sounds snobby, but come on, let’s be realistic! This app and its associated service is a waste of money.

Response from developer

Hi Wolf, By setting your preferences you will receive matches that fit those criteria, of course setting several to very Important does indeed limit the amount of matches we are able to offer.
